One Million Dollars Slides Away From Mika & Caanan
The amazing race seems to be the best reality show this fall season. Survivor is a bust in my opinion, this season. TAR seem to have nice teams, that do nice things. However, that is exactly what the fans seem to be complaining about they don’t like to see nice people. I for one beg to differ, I have enjoyed watching the teams be competitive but not cutthroat. Perhaps as fans we will never be happy with each season. While it may give us something to wag our tongues about, having a ruthless cutthroat team only makes our mouths run and gives us reason to dislike and hate others that we don’t even know.

This article written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
This season most teams seem more focused on their game and race and not what others are doing. It is refreshing to say the least. They are in all reality counting on their endurance to make it in the race and not plotting or scheming other teams downfall.
To date six teams have been eliminated. Erica and Lisa, whom swear they quit and they were note eliminated. I wondered why they needed to go on TAR if they were only going to quit at the starting line. It could be that they knew they were going to be eliminated at the start, so they opted to quit before Phil could say ” I am sorry to say, you have been eliminated from the race”! Pretty cheesy on the Yoga instructors part in my opinion. It simply does not make sense to quit at the starting line.

Garrett and Jessica were the first/second team to be eliminated. ( The yoga instructors were technically the first from the starting line) Garrett and Jessica lost the foot race just by a smidgeon.
Marcy and Ron were the third team to be eliminated, a nice couple but the simply had a bad leg of the race in week two.
Zev and Justin who seem to be one of the teams that fans favored, also had a bad leg and were thus eliminated in week 3. They had lost a passport. Fans were not happy about this elimination.
Lance and Keri was mercifully eliminated week four, much to the delight and gleefulness of most fans. TAR fans could not stand this couple at all. I couldn’t even stand their voices. They basically get on ones nerves watching them in the race. However, they resigned themselves to their doom of being eliminated and went out gracefully.
This past Sunday, Mika and Canaan were eliminated. They didn’t have to be, only Mika gave into her fear of heights. Mika must have been there over an hour refusing to go down the slide. She clearly and obviously had a deep fear of heights, she had a fear of water and the sharks being thrown into the mix was not exactly helpful to calm her frazzled nerves and fear.
I know some folks thought she was being a big baby, however, she was clearly not only frightened, she was absolutely terrified of her fears. Mika also had to face not one fear but two fears, in the heights and water. Most people would have taken the plunge and looked their fear dead in the face, in Mika’s case their chance at winning a million dollars slid away from them. She simply was not prepared or ready to face her fears.
The Globetrotters of Big Easy Lofton and Flight Time Lang, seem to be one of the teams that the fans really like and favor. Last night the trotters had a real bad leg of the race. First the cab driver whom said yes he knew where to go brought them to the wrong place. Then Big Easy had a brain freeze when he was not reading that watch right to open up the brief case. However, the trotters made up for that faux pas, when the boys from the hood showed they knew how to do math. When other teams needed to help each other and another team gave up. They showed their great friendship when they didn’t get on each other with this bad leg and when friend to friend encouraged one another. They thought they were done, but Mika’s fear granted them a reprieve, much to the happiness of most TAR fans.

A few fans had an issue about the fact that the trotters uped their game a tad and said to Mika not to go down the slide thus playing on her fears. However, my question is ” what would you do if you were in this race, had a bad leg and knew that if you didn’t get to the mat first, you were done for and your chance at winning a million smackroos was but a fleeting thought. In my opinion the trotters did not do anything more in this competitive race then the Rob and Amber’s did, in past seasons. In fact Rob and Amber were notorious for trying to make the other teams lag behind. Yet the fans loved them, why, because they were competitive. I think most of us would have did the same thing, if we were in the exact same position as the trotters. As one fan said, the trotters didn’t touch her, they didn’t yell at her etc.. they simply did what they needed to do to be the final team to stay in the race. Had the cab driver not goofed, the trotters would not have been so far behind.

Furthermore Mika had all the time in the world before the globetrotters arrived, she was absolutely not going down that slide. As another fan said, she had already made up her mind not to go down the slide and in my opinion way before the trotters arrived. No harm, no foul on Big Easy and Flight Time’s part. Mika did not even go down the slide after the trotters went down and after Caanan went down. I personally thought it was unfair that she got the two minutes to decide, since she had all the time in the world before the trotters arrived. Furthermore when the trotters got there, it was basically over for Mika and Canaan, they could not have beaten the trotters in a footrace to the finish line. It really did not make a diffrence what the trotters, or anyone else said, Mika simply was not going to go down that slide. Again, she has a real fear and one that I am compassionate towards how terrified she seemed to be with her fear.

In ending Mika’s fear won out and the person responsible for being eliminated is Mika and even Canaan, he wasn’t exactly helpful trying to shove her down the slide. Having said that, I also understand that Canaan was attempting to do all he could to get her to go down and we can’t hold it against him. Mika clearly has a deeper issue and fear of heights and even water then people think. IMO something drastic must have happened to her in her lifetime to make her that petrified.
Until next week TAR fans.

Habs Win In OT VS The Sabres
Oh yeah baby, the hockey season is on and my beloved wonderful team the Montreal Canadians edged out the Buffalo Sabres in OT by a score of 2-1. For the second game of the hockey season, les habitants de montréal took the game and two points in OT. Carey Price continues to be outstanding and excellent in his goaltending net. The game last night was quite a chippy rough physical game.

This article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
In the first period Buffalo owned the habs. However in the second and third period Les habitants owned and dominated the Sabres. They threw the Sabres in confusion when they came flying out, skating, and one upped any physical combat that the Sabres handed them. My team is looking good this year with the new young players and the trades that occured over the course of the summer.

In fact the line of Gomez, Cammalleri and Gionta whom produced the game winning OT goal last night is an impressive line. Whenever they are on the ice action occurs. Gomez in fact reminds me in many ways of some of the Montreal players of old. He is small, but he can take anything physical, he checks and is not fearful of receiving a check, he is not afraid of getting in the corners and fighting for the puck. If someone invites him into fisticuffs he will not back down even though the opposing player is looming over him in size.
He reminds me of players of old like Guy Carbonneau, Mats Naslund, Henri Richard, Yvan Cournoyer type of players. In fact he also reminded me of the old Nordiques pain in the ass player to hate Dale Hunter. This line of Gomez, Cammalleri and Gionta also reminded me of the old line of Mario Tremblay, Doug Risebrough and Pierre Bouchard. That line when they first arrived in the NHL and played for Montreal used to get on the ice and there was always action and physical combat with them.
Buffalo scored a power play goal in the first period. The Habs answered the Sabres in the second and took the win and two points in OT.
The announcers had some difficulty with Montreal’s second period goal, however the refs were on par, the goal was in the net befor the net was off its mooring. This video shows the replay on the puck in the net before the net was pushed off its mooring. The goal rightfully counted.
GOAL SCORERS
MTL: T. Moen (SHG, 12:33 – 2nd) , B. Gionta (02:42 – OT)
BUF: T. Connolly (PPG, 02:40 – 1st)

BUF: R. Miller (L
Three star selections

The Habs win first game 4-3
My beloved Habs won their game opener against the Leafs. Carey Price was on top of his goal-tending game, robbing Toronto when he stopped 43 of the 46 shots he faced on Thursday nights opening game. Josh Gorges scored with 14 seconds left in the overtime, giving Les Habitants the win and the two points. I was loving that overtime goal. Grin

This article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
It was a bit of a rowdy feisty game with the two original six teams. Old sparks of their rivery were eminent in the penalties handed out. I had started to watch the game in English on CBC, however the announcers get on my nerves they are so Anti Montreal Canadians in their commentary. They just make me sick.
So I went back to watching the game on RDS in french. The french announcers are more animated and they are more fair in how they call the game. Nor do we have to ingest Anti Canadians commentary from the announcers. However, Montreal and their fans like me got the last laugh when Montreal rallied and took the win in overtime.
I also beg to differ with the CBC announcers, who said The Canadians did not deserve to be in it. Fair enough, however I might add that not only was Carey Price’s goal-tending the reason they won the game, so was the fact the habs needed less shots on goal to put the puck in the net and take the game. In review of stats of the shots on goal, Montreal proved they were the better team in scoring. They ended up with 27 shots on goal and put four in the net vs Toronto chances of 46 shots on goal only to see them put three in and lose the game.
Quite often when any team is down on their game they do rely on their goaltenders. The greatest of Stanley cup wins through NHL history have been won because of superb goal-tending. Montreal clearly was the better team given the stats. Some nights their goaltenders don’t have much to do in a game.
Don’t miss tonight’s’ game against Buffalo, Habs fans at 7pm EST. I will be watching it in French, I enjoy the commentary better!
The Habs have lost Andrei Markov for four months due to an injury in the opening game vs Toronto.

Last Two Weeks Of HK -Van & Suzanne Give Up Their Jackets
Hell’s Kitchen is closing into its finals. We are now down to watching the final four aspiring chefs vie for the final two and the win.

This article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
The last two weeks of HK has had viewers experience watching people striving for success caving in to pressure. Last week Van lost his edge, he totally blew his lid. His arrogance would not allow him to be humble and he just could not gage in what Chef Ramsey wanted to see. Ramsey had offered to Van that he didn’t think he could work with him much longer. Chef Ramsey flipped his gourd at what he was witnessing in HK. Burnt food, raw fish, sweating in dishes. He was so pissed he walked out for the first time in HK. He and Scott walked and took a breather. When Ramsey was able to compose himself he walked back in his Kitchen and without hesitation threw Van, Ariel and Suzanne out.
What got me about that move by Ramsey is that the aspiring chefs were actually doing quite well without him. They managed to get it together with Tenille’s leadership. I didn’t get why he did that all of a sudden upon his arrival back. Suzanne was the only one last week that did not work with the team. She was asked to plate the food and she absolutely refused, she could not put her smirk good name on it. As far as I am concerned she should have been booted last week. However she was saved for yet one more week. Why is beyond my knowledge, Suzanne should have been gone three weeks prior to this week IMO. She was not a team player, she was not a good cook, and she was daunting in her striving to hoodwink everyone into thinking she gave delightful full services. She did not at anytime operate as a contender.
Unfortunately for Van his ego got in his way. I also think that his feisty fight with Jean Phillipe at the beginning of the season was the beginning of the end for Van. Just because he was permitted to stay, I don’t think that Ramsey did not note in the back of his mind that his matire d , does not usually get into bellowing battle with anyone. JP has worked for many years with Ramsey and I feel that Van’s blatant disrespect and disregard for JP was a mental note that Ramsey kept in the back of his head. Again Van is young and egotistical he will hopefully mature over time.
This week was another terrible service. Even the best like Kevin was showing signs of wavering. He overcooked rice which set the kitchen’s orders back with the Risotto. Suzanne and Ariel continued holding their teams back with their raw fish and chicken. Ariel also sent out much to be desired lamb bringing her team to a halt once more.
Ramsey informed the aspiring chefs that the service was pathetic and they could decide whom was the worst of the worse. Upon discussion Suzanne tried to have Tenille go up against Ariel. Suzanne said with laughable elation that she gave a grand and wonderful service. This had the other competitors aghast with disbelief. She found better rice for the Risotto but then sent out raw fish time and time again during the course of dinner service. In the end Suzanne and Ariel went up on the chopping block and rightfully Suzanne was sent packing.
Ramsey advised Tenille it could have been her that left that night. Really why is that, she goofed on the Risotto because of overcooked rice. Sure she should have realized that it was overcooked. However, it was Kevin that overcooked the rice in prep, so in my opinion equal blame should have been placed with both of them. As much as I admire Dave for working with an injury he really gets on my nerves with some of his comments. Both Kevin and Dave did no better then anyone else in the Kitchen this week.
The fact is when the prep is already screwed, it screws the kitchen right off the hop. However these four are the best of the best. It will be interesting to see whom comes up on top. I will tell you one thing Tenille has leadership qualities that the remaining four have not shown yet. When Ramsey walked out last week, it was Tenille that took charge and led the kitchen and she is equal in her cooking to the other chefs. I think it may come down to Tenille and Kevin for final two. Ariel has screwed up badly a few rounds and Ramsey has noted that, Dave is working on an injury and has also screwed up in services. Tenille shows leadership and I think Kevin can also be a leader which is also needed to run a kitchen.
What I have noticed is the cattiness of all the remaining competitors. Kevin, Tenille, Dave, Ariel and Suzanne were so busy making comments about the other competitors that messed up that they forgot about their own faux pas in the kitchen. It was interesting to see their smirks, glee and then watch them make their own bad mistakes that brought the kitchen to a standstill. Again none of them did well this week and all of them had every bit to do with why there was such a bad dinner service. Suzanne just happened to be the worst of the worse for many weeks.
Until this Tuesday HK fans.

This weeks Survivor- Has Evil Been Defeated?
This week’s survivor proved one thing that Russell H being the new evil was nothing more than hype on advertising. Russell H is not the new evil, and he is clearly not running the show in the survivor camp. In fact Jaision stepped up and proved his leadership and his determination that Ben whom is deemed the resident racist should be eradicated from the tribe. Jaison got his way, Ben got the boot and Russell H’s so called evil was annihilated this week.

This article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
This change of venue will prove to be very interesting. Russell H thinks he is running the gauntlet, he feels he has it all worked and figured out . He assures viewers that hewill take out and take down the strongest competitors. Upon thinking about Russell H’s gameplay and the fact he went along with his tribe this week, I can’t help musing that he may be a smarter player than many have not given him credit for ( including me) . Think on this folks, with Russell going along with Jaison it proves he is a team/tribe player. He debated with Jaison that he wanted Ashley gone, but then he also proved to have listening skills when the rest of his tribe said in unison that Ben needed to go this week. He also showed he has no loyalties to one person and is a team player. Why should he have not gone along with his other tribe members? By doing so he made himself look pretty good! He has once more slipped under their radar of being someone to consider sending home. He in fact played it smarter, by calculating that there would not be much of a difference between sending Ben packing this week or next week. I don’t know I think he may be a more intelligent player then I originally thought. Time will tell and it remains to be seen. He may just grow on me in the season. Maybe that is!!! I blame the show for showcasing him as evil has a new name.
Musing even further, I can’t help feeling that Russell has his own plans up his sleeve and if those plays are skewed, he is like a chameleon he can change his plans for the week. Will his plans and strategy pay off and work, is yet another thing. I also think the girls on both tribes are going along with the men for now! Until such a time that they merge we may see the ladies congregate to take down one man at a time. This may be a season that the ladies annihilate the men. LMAO. That would be fun to watch!!
This weeks survivor still has fans wondering how the season will proceed. This mismatched goofy group of survivors are very entertaining in many ways. Ben met his timely demise and I can’t say that his arrogance didn’t get him in hot water. Jaison an accomplished lawyer played it right and smart. He said what needed to be said to Ben’s face and about Ben. Many of us do not wish to watch a show that showcases racist attitudes. Ben huffed, puffed and he blew his own house down and was dismissed out of the game. Looks good on him.
I got the biggest guffaw when Jeff was revealing the votes. When he revealed the first vote, Ben took it like a grain of salt. He had a knowing confident smirk on his arrogant face. When the second vote against Ben was revealed that knowing smirk was slowly leaving that smug face of his. Then when the third vote for his demise was revealed the thought seemed to not only occur to Ben that he was being blindsided it showed dramatically his time of reckoning for his actions had come and he was about to be booted from the tribe. I was personally gleefully snickering, chortling, and splitting my sides watching Ben’s expressions. It was wonderful to see! Grin~ LMAO
Ben got the royal heave ho, Russell H slipped under the radar and all is well in surivorville for now! Ben stated emphatically that he didn’t think that Jaison’s arguments held any water in his day after interview. Right, it was Jaison that was behind Ben’s demise. It is what it is, and one must give credit to Jaison for being able to argue successfully when it was Ashley that was as good as gone this week. The rest of Ben’s verbal diarrhea is what it is, of that of a pompous self righteous person.
Until next week Survivor fans.

Belated BB Finale Review- Small Town Girl Is Last HG Standing
I know this article is late, late, late, better late then never. I must finish the BB season for my site. Just got a little busy folks.

This article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
As everyone knows by now Jordan the small town girl was the last HG standing . A season of division in the house and amongst the fans. I wanted to see Kevin in the F2, but it was not to be and Jordan thankfully came up the big winner of BB11. In a discussion with another fan, I did express on a forum, while I wanted to see Kevin in F2 and win the whole thing, I would not be upset if Jordan pulled it off and won. The main reason is that she seemed to need the money and could use the money not only to help herself, but her family.
When Jordan won she showed why she not only deserved to win, but she was quite unselfish and gracious with her win. Julie ( whom by the way had her baby ) asked Jordan what she would do with the money. Jordan whom seems to be unselfish, reeled off and named what she was going to do for her mother, brother, aunt and cousins and then only thought about herself last. Impressive and inspiring that such a young lady is not self absorbed or selfish. It must have been a very proud moment for Jordan’s family and the Jeffster.
I went into the finale of BB, hoping to see Kevin in F2. When out of nowhere did a small town girl with big dreams and high hopes take the BB finale by storm. In fact she crushed, trampled and without much effort took the most important HOH there was to win and that was the final HOH. She wasn’t finished with the final HOH, she then made a calculated risk and thought strategically on whom was better to sit with her in F2. Whom did she think she could win against in F2. Ugh which left Stinker Bell to sit in F2 with her. Then this small town girl made her final BB play and she evicted my beloved Kevin right out the door on his royal Kiester.
When jury questions arrived she proved to be better at talking about what she did in the game to deserve to be in the final two then slick Stinker Bell ( Natalie). In fact Stinky was repetitious and this small town girl Jordan, zippy doh dahed and breezed through jury questioning.
Who would have thought that Jordan Lloyd could do it on her own. That she could win two competitions in a row in the final HOH and then dance on the graves of all the evicted HG’s. In fact Jordan did so well that Jesse Godderz, even gave her his nod of approval and his vote. ( Yes Jesse revoked his BBF in the house Natalie). Screech, rewinding, there was one person that said outright that Jordan could do this and win, that was Jeff. In fact the Jeffster fought very valiantly in jury to help her win this thing and he got the jury to give her the nod and their vote to win the half of million dollars.
The most shocking revelation of the finale night was that Jesse Godderz took BB fans breath away and stunned us all when he tipped his vote to Jordan. In fact Jesse has endeared himself to many BB fans with that vote ( me included). I said it is about time BB fans forgive him, and I have whole hearted forgiven him, not only with this vote but with the fact he did indeed play a better BB game this season. Had it not been for the coup, Jesse could have very well made it to F2 this season and perhaps win the whole thing. Jesse played with a cooler head and a more calculated strategic game.
Jesse’s stunning vote was like hearing glass shattering for Stinker Bell. It was very gratifying and satisfying for me personally to see that smug look on her face being wiped off. At that precise moment Natalie may have been thinking, I should have been nicer to Lydia!
Belated Congratulations to Jordan, she won fair and square and proved many people wrong including me! I never would have dreamed that she would win that final HOH. In fact I thought Kevin had it in the bag.
Kevin was suppose to win that final HOH, by many fans thoughts and views. When he was evicted I have to say he went out very classy as did many HG’s this season. Destiny and fate was in Kevin’s hands and he acknowledged that he should have won it and that Jordan made the right move. Although I felt a little sorry for Kevin when he was evicted. Unlike the other HG’s he had no time to breathe and take in his eviction. He was evicted and then went to the finale and live vote. He did not have the luxury of the jury house. I really did not like the extension of three HG’s to the end. I like the old way.
America voted for J & J in unity. BB fans tipped their hat to Jordan when they voted for her in the win and they by a landslide tipped their fedora’s and love for Jeff when they gave him America choice for favorite player and $25,000.
Congratulations Jeff on still being America’s choice. I will extend my last congratulations to Jesse, whom showed he matured over the course of one year and learned from his mistakes of the past season. Always inspiring to see a person rise from the cinders and ashes of yesteryear!
So another BB season ended, only this finale unlike other BB finales took the fans by storm and had his clucking with delight. The person responsible for delighting the BB fans was Mr Jesse Godderz with his vote to Jordan. It was articled that Jesse’s parents did not want him to go back to BB show. I think they can be proud of how their son grew and matured over the course of one season. I think Jesse did himself a great service by going back with the spunk and candor he did and he proved that people can change. Good for Jesse and let us tip our hat to him. I know I changed my opinion on him this year from last year. Kudos Jesse!!!
In ending on the BB fan forum it was debated if Evel Dick did a good job with his interviewing of the BB HG’s. I don’t know I am sort of on the fence on his ability to interview. However, I thought his interviewing of the houseguests was more comical and human then the professional media.
Dick does not have a starched uniformed haughty tight arse in his interviews. He personlized his interviews with the houseguests. He lets it all hang out when he interviews. Should we have expected anything less from ED? LMAO~ It was more refreshing to see his interviews of the HG’s, than some of the professional media. He is a very relaxed person, because Evel Dick does not give a shit. LMAO~ However, to each his own. Dick interviewd as if he were hanging out with the boys and girls in a bar. Shooting the breeze/shit and talking nonsense. IE yeah baby, ya know, it is what it is, I don’t give a F. LMAO. I thought his interviews were comical in a good way.
See you next year BB fans! Wink
