Comments to BB8 is now closed!

Due to the stupidity of some people who insist on rehashing BB8 as if the outcome resulted in the direct effect of their bread and butter and wellbeing. I have closed comments to all the articles. The show! Has been over for well over a month!

If anyone that was interested in debate of the show, they should of did it during that time, not a month later. There are other blogs out there to assist you with your dependencey on the outcome of BB.  I have better things to do and better things to write about. A good example. Ellen Degenres. I wrote a good article on the dog fiasco. How about little Maddie McCann, keeping topic on her would do alot of good. The outcome of BB8 is what it is! Nothing is going to change it. Haressing blog owners over their opinion is quite immature! Therefore the BB8 comments again are closed.  Here is a tip, if you really want to discuss it for the next 10 years, create your own blog/forum and go at it. I promise I will not attend your blog! ( Rolling eyes)! In short enough is enough!

Please be advised I make it a point to end debate with any reality show once it is over!

Ellend Degeneres: Give Ruby Back her Dog!!!!! In support of Ruby!

I must concur with the general consensus. I find the actions of the shelter owners despicable and disgraceful! For all accounts, Miss Dengeners is a giving and loving person who gives back to humanitarian causes and animal rights causes. In summary when Miss Degeneres found she could not keep the animal, she gave the dog she owned and whom was bought and paid for to a home she felt that dog would be well cared for.

In view of the fact that most children are animal lovers, I feel the dog was probably very CONTENT!!! with its new home!

The shelters owners in my view are legally impaired and wrong. Even with a contract, the right way to proceed was through legal venue not false pretences. In reality, the shelter owner went to the home that the dog resided in under false pretences! She only wanted to see if the dog had a good home. I feel the owner went their to do what she was going to do, which was confiscate the dog from a home that the dog had adjusted to. I call the shelter owners actions animal abuse! A dog can become very attached to their homes and families. Dogs are pack animals and they view their owners as part of the pack. For the shelter owner to rip the dog out of the home of a loving family! Is disgusting! I also felt the shelter owner used their agreement to flex her muscles.

If the shelter owner really felt the way she did, then she should of proceed through the courts!!!!!!!!!!!! Moreover, have a judicial review on who would have the dog! I also think that the shelter owner was quite abusive in front of children!

Further, the shelter owner should have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! taken Miss Degeneres to court as that is whom she had the contract with and allow the courts to decide. I feel she didn’t’ because the courts may of very well ruled in favour of Miss Degeneres.

I do hope the family takes these shelter owners to task and proceed through legal venues. As far as the shelter owners claim to threats, I believe it is another modern day new victimization taking place. If you watched her closely, the crocodile tears were astonishing and well timed! However, the child Ruby’s tears were genuine!!!

I do hope Ruby regains the dog that she loves back and I do hope it is not too long, the animal at this point must be confused! Also was it convenient that the dog had a new home in 24 hours. With the shelter owner making DOUBLE THE MONEY! ON THE SALE OF THE ANIMAL!

In ending I am writing this article in support of Ruby a child that just wants the
dog she loves back! Give Ruby back her dog!

Kid Nation: A continuum of real life issues- clean family show!

Kid nation continues to excel. This week’s episode included the dimensions of the kids exploring real life issues. This week the kids were faced with a storm which I felt they handled pretty well!

Greg continues to journey with his temper; however he does work hard and what some have to understand is that Greg wants the money for a further education. I don’t think that is such a bad aspiration!

Greg is a 14 year old boy, was he nice, in this episode no! Having three children that are all in high school (my youngest started her first year this new school year)! It doesn’t take them long to have a diffrent attitude.

The point is kids are faced with bullying daily in their lives and again, it is a learning curve! It is a learning curve for any kid involved the child being bullied and the person that is the bully! Kids are taught diffrent defence mechanisms to topple the bullies!

I am sure that Greg’s parents are reviewing this and will have plenty to say to him on his arrival home. The bottom line is that we cannot keep our children on on a leash and we don’t know how they act away from us, unless somebody tells us.

I still think that some adults are taking their negativity too far.

If any adult wants to tell me that kids don’t face bullying every day when they are obtaining their education, I would be willing to listen to it!

On the web we even have a Xian perspective! In biblical times what did the children do? Did they have computers and all the assets that kids have in today’s society? Children helped out on the land from very young ages with farming, tending the animals and so on and so forth! Religion should not be used as a vice to supersede the good intentions of the show.

Getting back on track, the kids had their town council meeting and many of them are unhappy with their council. In my view, this demonstrated how kids feel about community and a political future venue. (Isn’t that what we do! as adults!) Do some adults talk in front of their kids about some of political aspects of society’s relationship with community? In their education, they are even taught some of these same things! We have to teach our children about not talking to strangers and how to defend themselves in case this happens to them. ( At very young grade school level). The police come in some communities to discuss many aspects of the wrong in society! They see television, computers, gamer venue’s that teach them anything then the days of leave it to beaver and lassie shows!

I don’t get where people are not seeing the excellence in this show. Instead of these kids being in front of computers and televisions, in some cases hanging out and getting in trouble, they are reviewing what will be their future!

In this society, children are much smarter and I know this from experience. For the past 8 years, I have worked on a VOLUNTARY LEVEL to serve my community with children that are thrown away in this society. (Not necessarily thrown away by their parents but by the adults who take part in their daily lives)! I have worked with children in both elementary and highschool levels, that have problems either being bullies or are being bullied)! My work consisted of serving over 200 children in my program! My paid work deals with adults that are beaten up by the ravishes of society!

I know kids and I know what makes them tick. All it takes is for someone or a group to come along and guide them! I kept kids in the community programs when they where thrown out of other programs! I did this with the ideology and belief that kicking children out of programs and school, only takes care of the problem for a few days or in that one environment!

Society tends to pay for these rash actions! When these same children get older. To see these kids change is a wonderful, rewarding experience for anyone.

It is cumbersome to see adults continue to trample on children in any way they can. What exactly do you think you are teaching them? These children are our future; it is each adult’s responsibility to ensure they do their part, not just with their own children with everyone else’s children!

This may include a kind word or gesture. I realize that not everyone has the time to volunteer as others! Children need to be encouraged! Not put down! Parents need to find constructive and innovative ways to help their child when they are wrong, not ignore them or the situation! Parents also need to tell their children when they are right!

Children’s reflections are in greater depth then they once were. I think some adults are having a hard time fathoming that children are smarter and more mature then in the past.

There are issues, but like anything in society they are slowly working through the issues. Resolving issues does not happen in one day, it takes its course and time!!

I continue to support and believe Kid Nation is a show of excellence. For once we can watch a show without sexual gestures and provocative television. For once we can see the real life issues that adults and yes some children face on a daily basis. Not every kid out there is coddled and some are hard workers in today’s soceity.

In our grandparent’s days, they didn’t even finish school; they usually were put out to work in grade school so they could help their impoverished families, or both parents worked and our grandparents looked after their younger siblings. In our parents days if they finished high-school that was an achievement, many jobs involved labour. In our days we were expected to not only finish high school but to get a more advanced education and at the very least a trade. In today’s society we want our children go into college and university and get their master degrees.

Let us not forget the Iraq war! The ages of those serving their country are very young! Many whom have died! That is what our children are seeing today! Now tell me again what some think is wrong with kid nation?

Society has changed I wouldn’t necessarily say it is for the better. Our environments are in bad shape, global warming is an issue.

In today’s society we tend to live in a fast pace environment and not many of us take the time to smell the flowers, to plant a small garden. We eat fast and convenient readymade foods that are full of toxins. Perhaps the professionals should focus on the obvious instead of picking on a good sound excellent show!!!

In ending, from this parent’s view there is absolutley nothing
wrong with Kid Nation!
