Trust Is a Basic Human Instict! Ami vs. Erik

For the first time we saw a fan take strides and play the game. Erik knew his arse was on the line and he ensured he used what he had on Ami for a stay of execution. I thought it was an excellent move by young Erik. What did he have to lose? If he stayed silent he knew he would have had no chance and would be voted out by his tribe. Ami did run around and did try to eliminate the fan favourites, she played the game but as any former survivor knows turning against those that would shelter you until they can’t anymore is not the smartest move. Ami should have known that even the fans did not trust her because they did not go along with her plans and that it was coming back to bite her in her butt.

Erik used the knowledge that Ami was gunning for Ozzie and other fan favourites and Ami cried, and tried to reverse the onus of her actions and plots on Cerie and Amanda. Ami cried that she never felt part of the tribe and that she  always felt like she was an outsider. Ami went on and said that when decisions were made she was never asked. First Ami was a former survivor (Vanuatu) she knows how to play the game and what to do to get herself in there with her tribe and how to be a contender. Ami’s game was blindsiding the fan favourites, voting them out and leading the fans. After Ozzie found out that Ami tried to move on him, Ozzie made his own move and spoke to Amanda about voting Ami out based on trust.

Ami cried at tribal council and appealed to her tribe that she was trustworthy; the tribe went with their gut feelings and voted her out to ensure their safety. The bottom line is it is bad enough when you don’t know who your enemies are on survivor but when you do know it is smarter to cut those persons lose while you can. To keep Ami on would have been foolish because had she gotten away with her bawling and had her tribe dared trust her she would have moved on all of them when she could and had them voted out.

I was quite pleased to see Erik make his move and tell all, it was the only thing he could do to survive. I think Erik may be named as another fan favourite if they should ever have another survivor of fans vs. fan favourites.

Next week the tribes will merge, which will prove to be very interesting. Will the fan favourites still go with their original plan, group together and vote every fan out; or will the fan favourites rethink that strategy and ally with the few fans left? It remains to be seen, but I think the merge will prove to be very interesting and will have has anticipating the show for the remaining weeks.

Hell’s Kitchen Gets Off To a Thunderous Debut

Chef Ramsey is thunder and lighting all in one, he shouted, hollered, cursed, threw food around and called competitors names, he insulted and smacked down anyone that looked like they had a problem in his kitchen. He told one aspiring Chef to go and put more makeup on.

If the debut of Hell’s Kitchen is any indication of what we are in for the season, I dare say we will be in for a fiery thunderous show.  A disguised Chef Gordon Ramsey decided to ride in the bus with the aspiring chefs to get a feel of the characters he would be working with. The men were talking smack and it was hilarious to watch Gordon Ramsey control himself on the ride to Hell’s Kitchen. We had the competitor who said he was the black Gordon Ramsey who calls himself the four star general. We had our usual array of characters that were all talk and no action when it came to their culinary skills. To say that that their signature dishes did not impress Gordon Ramsey would be an understatement. For the exception of one the aspiring chefs signature dishes the rest of the competitors not only failed to impress Chef Gordon Ramsey, but one actually had him vomiting. Viewers saw burnt dishes, rancid dishes, not well thought out dishes, dishes that were thrown together and made up on whim. Only one of the candidates impressed Gordon Ramsey and that was Roseann who is a receptionist. The rest of the candidates that are hoping to run a million dollar restaurant and to win a quarter of a million dollars received a mild tongue lashing from Chef Gordon Ramsey.

The show moves on and we see what each gender is made of. The ladies plan together, pick their leader and also study the Hell’s Kitchen dishes to the wee hours of the morning. The men felt they wouldn’t be bothered and all chose to get some beauty rest for their upcoming debut in the kitchen.

The next day after prep, Gordon Ramsey was stunned to learn that the men could not recite the 15 new dishes for Hell’s Kitchen. With that knowledge the viewers knew the kitchen and service was doomed.

Bobby and Vanessa who were their team’s captains both refused to take charge of their ship and the kitchen. Bobby who was bragging up a storm that he was going to show Chef Gordon Ramsey how it was done, kept refusing to lead and run his kitchen  nor get his hands dirty. He would say “no, no I don’t want to get involved in the chaos”! Vanessa, just would not, could not or did not think she should not take control of her team and the kitchen, she chose to remain silent through all the mishaps and choas in the kitchen she was suppose to be leading.

There was nothing but chaos in both kitchens, although the women faired better then the men. We had those that were trying to take the lead when their captains wouldn’t, we had those competitors that were all attitude and who felt that they knew what they were doing. We had the apprentice chefs that were not trying hard enough and who opted to take a smoke leaving their fellow team-mates on their own and in turmoil in the kitchen. I was hoping that Chef Gordon Ramsey would catch Jason relaxing and having his smoke during dinner service..

The night was a nightmare and an embarrassment for Gordon Ramsey, it was bad enough that the aspiring chef’s could not get the appetizers out and had the customers waiting endlessly, and that they failed to get out the main course. Every customer walked out, starving, hungry and frustrated. Gordon Ramsey was beside himself to say the least.

I felt a bit sorry for the Dominic, it really wasn’t his fault that his team did not have a captain that would leave, but in the long run it was probably best that Dominic received a reprieve and an early demise. These candidates look like it may take them a long time to shape up. In my opinion Jason should have been the one that went home.

What is baffling about this season’s aspiring chefs is that many of them do not seem to be very serious about what they could obtain. They were full of oh well, and so what and whatevers. I guess the same attitude can be taken when we eventually see taken and their arse’s go out the door. Oh well, so what, whatever, if they fail to see that this could be a life changing event to gain a quarter of a million dollars and to run a million dollar restaurant.

Dominic was most likely chosen to go home, because he did not show Chef Ramsey any indication that he was prepared to take charge of the kitchen any time soon. He simply looked lost and that he bit off more then he was prepared to chew.

Ryan has won the POV- It looks like Ryan will take Sheila off the block and Adam will put James up for eviction. James is crying himself a river of his impending doom and fate to go to the Jury house. James erred when he became to smug and was to abrupt to the other HG’S when he related to them not once but twice that he was going to go after them when he won the HOH.

Josh out- James cries – Big Brother spoiler update

Finally, we get to see Joshua leave the BB house and go to the Jury house. Joshua used every tactic in the book, right down to false tears to try to gain a vote. When the vote came in and Josh was told he was out, he left with what I felt was a cynical speech. When Julie interviewed him, he tried to portray what a nice fellow he was. I do not know how Josh acts in his personal life, but in the BB house, he acted like an arse.

Sharon then proceeds to blubber insanely. She could not be consoled. Are you kidding me! Sharon needs to review how Josh never had her best interests are heart. Had it come down to final three and Josh had the choose between Sharon and any other HG, Sharon was going to get the boot. Speaking of Sharon, has she lost her mind? I was less then impressed with her drama queen antics of saying she would avenge him. However, I was thrilled that Sharon, James or Sheila did not get HOH.

It is interesting at how humble James becomes when he is not in control. Just a week ago,he came across as smug and talked the talk and walked the walk of how he was going after everyone when he got HOH. James told the HG’S I am coming after each and every one of you. There was only one problem with James smug in your face attitude he had to actually win HOH to go after them. With any luck! James will meet his final end in the house this week. I am personally sick of him.

Adam won the HOH to the relief of Ryan, Natalie and Sheila. Sheila was not very relieved when Adam made his nominations. Adam nominated Sheila and Sharon. Sharon cried, Sheila cried and James cried. I think James is picking up where Josh left off, it was crocodile tears. James was trying to regroup with Natalie- James thinks he is screwed, oh yes you are James thank goodness! James wants to know if they will backdoor him he wants to them to tell him! I guess James wants the same regard he gave Natalie on that deal. James really screwed himself when he backdoored Matt and he did because nobody trusts his word!
