As Predicted David Cook Wins Idol Title! David Archuletta Congrats!

Last night was the crown of glory night and the announcement of who wins Idol Title. David Cook won the title by a 12 million-vote difference.
This Article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
I did predict David Cook was going to win, was off on my judgement of the votes. I really felt that both Idolteers had a large fan base and that vote was going to be close. However, I did not anticipate how angry David Cook’s fans became when Simon Cowell (who apologized last night to David) Simon had been unduly harsh on David Cook’s peformance, that left some fans steaming. Once more my recommendation for the future is that the Judges should not give their feedback once it comes down to the final two. Really once it is the final two, the competitors earned the right to just perform and have the fans vote.
I know many of David Cook’s fans were pissed right off and that seemed to encourage them to put in extra votes. Having said that when there are over 95 million votes and the second runner up got 44 percent of those votes, there is nothing that David Archuletta should feel ashamed about. As in any Idol finale, there has to be a winner.
David Cook and David Archuletta both deserved to be in the final two, despite what a few fans thought, that they did not want a teenybopper to win. David Archuletta will be very successful in his future. Think of it, if a sixteen -year old lad can come through and get into the top twelve after millions of auditions. Then annihilates his competition ( some of whom are fantastic, brilliant musicians and singers) and got to the final two with David Cook. There is absolutely nothing for young David A to feel ashamed about, that is quite a success story for a young man that is only sixteen. We all know that he will be picked up for a contract and he will be successful. As I hope Carly, Michael, Amanda, Syesha and Chikezie will also be picked up for a contract and will be just as successful.
The fact is this years Idol really was the best season yet. Sure, we had a few of the top 12 that did not tickle our fancy, but when you slice and dice the competition it really rocked and was outstanding in terms of talent. David Cook did deserve this win, despite what those that say the contrary . David Cook came out of the well-fought battle, he did have strong competitors, his win was no walk or stroll in the park. David’s win brings him an instant contract and the rest of the awards.
I was personally glad to see how humble he remained in his win. He did not get arrogant, he did not shed his cloak of reserve, he cried and told his brother with tears and in a joking spirit, that his win was his fault. It was quite inspiring to see how close the brothers were, it was very inspiring indeed. David Cook really is a nice person. I was gleeful to see him keep David A with him during his song, his arm around him. Equally, I would say if David Archuletta is an indication of what our youth are like, our future looks bright. David A did not look upset, angry, he gracefully accepted that he did not win and he graciously congratulated this year’s American Idol David Cook.
I must say during the seasons of Idol there have always been rockers. I must further extend for the exception of this year; I never enjoyed those rockers entertainment. I honestly did not like their songs when they were competing. This year was far different, from the beginning one knew that David Cook was very unique and when he sang and performed he was brilliant, he knew what he could do with his vocals and the most important his performances were enjoyable.
Having said that, there seemed to be uniqueness with other competitors this year as well. One could not miss David’s A’s uniqueness, nor Syesha’s, nor Carly’s, Michael’s, Amanda’s (I call her Janis Joplin the second) nor Chikezie with his velvety vocals. I think that what most fans were happy about is that most of the competitors, named above and unnamed, most came across as very nice people and they were always quite humble through the competition.
I know that is what I loved the most besides the fact that most of them could sing their butts off. It was very refreshing not to see arrogance and ego entwined with the performances. American Idol fans got it right, but so did American Idol Judges on who went through before the fans started voting. Nice and talented singers, which I was glad to see.
I am not saying in other years that some of the idolteers competing were not nice or did not come across as nice, some of them in past season were also very nice people, an example, season’ two’s Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, both were very nice young men and were always humble, however not as nearly as many came across as nice each season as they did with this years competitors. For that, the competitors of American Idol 7, must congratulate themselves for humble demeanours and for the best competition so far on American Idol. It really was well done, well received by American Idol fans and it was very, very refreshing.
Let us be honest we all love good talent and good performances, but when the performers personalities are also bright, it makes for a fantastic show. This year we really did get a fantastic show and American Idol made up for last years fumble. Clap Clap, Clap, very well done American Idol and Idol Judges.
There was an array of Stars that helped close the finale, my girl Gladys’s Knight and the new Pips, which was hysterical. Gladys’s Knight is also one of my favourite artists, she is legendary, and an Icon, a Diva and her music is timeless and ageless.
George Michaels, hey I remember him when he was younger; he was handsome, now he is aging gracefully and looks more dapper. ZZ Top, Jonas Brothers, One Republic, Seal, Donna Summer, Bryan Adams, Graham Nash, season four winner Miss Carrie Underwood, always looking as beautiful as ever, season six winner, Miss Jordin Sparks always looking fabulous, and season two winner Mr. Ruben Studdard was in the audience.
Alas, another chapter of the American Idol’s love affair with their fans closes. Congradulations David Cook for winning Idol Title. Congradulations David Archuletta for coming in second with 44 percent of over 95 millioni votes.
I will be back next year to get on Simon’s case, Randy’s case, Ryan’s case (when they get on my nerves and step out of line) . I will be will back to encourage Paula to speak up, speak out, and shout out her own views; which she honestly impressed most of us this year and seems to be growing in expressing her opinions not everyone else’s, this is also refreshing. I will be back next year to cheer on the new competitors and the competitors I like best. Once more, I look forward to buying most of your albums.
I will end this season with the theme song, by, the man himself, Mr. Ruben Studdard
Thank-you to Sirlinsalot, you link us up with nicely.
Now, onward and forward to Canadian Idol, in which I can guarantee Zach Werner gets on my nerves every year with his nasty attitude. I will be watching and I will be writing this year on Canadian Idol.

Who Is Going To Win Idol Title Tonight- Ok I Will Predict!

I know I said I would not predict and did not want to predict. However, I really get the feeling that David Cook has won Idol Title. This is nothing against David Archuletta because I very much like both of the finalists. I also think that both deserve to be there and both deserve to win, however, my feeling and prediction is that David Cook will win Idol Title tonight.

This Article Is Written By: Arnelle Durocher
In my opinion, both of finalists did extremely well last night. Two out of three songs for both finalists were brilliant and extremely well done. It may have to do with the fact that a certain judge was needlessly harsh on David Cook. His fans may have become annoyed, pissed off and made sure they voted extra. I will also predict that the vote is close. I think that vote was closer then any other idol show. Once more either David winning will not upset me, but since one has to win it, I am feeling that David Cook wins tonight.
So I am predicting that David Cook wins Idol Title. I could be wrong, but what the hell.

Idol Title Still Up For Grabs

Last night’s sing off battle was just that a battle. At that end of last night, I still had no clue whom is going to win Idol Title. Either David can win it.
This Article is Written and Owned by: Arnelle Durocher
The show opens with the gasp theme of Rocky, I thought to myself, my eyes and ears are deceiving me, please tell me that they are not making the final two dress up like Rocky. Alas, my eyes were not deceiving me, and vintage Rocky was foisted on us and our viewing screens. Thankfully and mercifully this foolish display passed by quickly.
Speaking to different people on and off the net, some think that David Archuletta will win it, because they felt that he did better. Others disagree and still think that David Cook will win it because he was the better singer last night. I did find the judges were amazingly harsh on David Cook for some strange reason. I was agasp with amazement. I do not know about anyone else, but I did not see where David Cook’s song choice was as dismal as Simon Cowell tried to portray. It would have been more interesting for the Judges to refrain from Judging in the final two because it would be interesting to see how America voted without the judges input and who wins Idol Title.
David Cook performed “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, Dream Big and The World I Know”. David in fact sang “Still Haven’t Found What I am looking for with finesse;” it was extremely very well done.
David Archuletta performed David Archuleta – “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, “In This Moment, and Imagine” I thought the David also sang Don’t let the Sun Go Down on Me extremely well.
This is the first time that I have not only liked the final two, but I have liked many of the competitors and really either David winning will not upset me. What upsets me is that they both cannot win it.
I know, American Idol is a competition and only a single person can win it, however, both of these competitors are stand up people. David Cook and David Archuletta like so many of the competitors seem to be very nice, they were always humble, and they just came out and sang their hearts out. Not only did they always give it their all, many and I enjoyed listening to them.
Honestly, I usually have a prediction very early on in the competition each year (usually no later then March), but this year most of these competitors were great singers, it was too difficult to pick one out of many possibilities.
I also do not want to make a prediction, as I really like the final two and will buy their albums upon being released. I will also buy Syesha’s, Michaels, Carley’s albums when released. There are two others in a competition that I most likely would buy their albums if they make one.
In my opinion, after last nights final sing off battle, there is still no clear cut winner.
All I can extend is that I wish both David’s the best of luck and no matter who wins; you are both winners and both American Idols in my eyes. I look forward to buying your albums.
Simon Cowell was lamenting that the judges took dissension this year! What! Judges like Simon did not take anymore flack then they gave out at times harshly and needlessly. I.E insulting someone because they have the nerve to wear what they can afford. Simon Cowell needs to learn and understand that there are also people that live from pay check to pay check and they cloth themselves according to their budget allowance.
I will post back on the results later on tonight!
American Idol Season Two Winner Ruben Studdard was on the Idol Stage Singing “Celebrate Me Home”. It is always good to see Ruben lighting up a stage and celebrating us all home with his soothing vocals.

Please Celebrate Graceful Syesha Mercado Home

Last night Syesha Mercado was the Idolteer that ended up with the short end of the stick. America decided that David vs. David would be the final two. As I stated before, I really wish none of them had to be eliminated, but that is not how American Idol works, someone has to go and one has to win.
This Article is owned by: Arnelle Durocher
Syesha is a winner, she withstood being in the bottom three and two, for weeks and every time she was gracious about her predicament. I think that she should be very proud at what she has achieved for her secure musical future and career. When Idol competitors American Idol if you make the Top 5, it is said that those Idolteers will be picked up for a contract no matter if they eliminated or they win. I expect to see good things in Syesha’s future. Syesha was graceful, she did not cry, she did not falter, she thanked everyone and sang herself out.
The final three had videos of their homecoming and frankly all three had some tears to shed with us.
The First Shown was David Archuletta’s homecoming. Young David seemed to be overwhelmed at his fan base. I do not think that David really fathoms his popularity. Which is refreshing to see David’s humbleness. However, I must extend that all three of the finalists have been humble throughout the show. They have been quite humble and that is what makes their fans love them even more. Here is David’s Murray City, Utah homecoming.
Second was Syesha Mercado’s homecoming. Syesha’s homecoming in Sarasota, Florida was the beginning what I expect that in Syesha’s future that she will be this popular with her fans in her music career. Syesha has the vocals that can bring her anywhere in her career that she wishes to go. I wish Syesha the best in her destiny of being a popular musician.
David Cook’s homecoming in Kansas City, Missouri, was nice and contrite on his part. I thought it was quite nice that he went back to his elementary school, Thomas J Utltican. David Cook went to visit his music teacher Mrs. Gentry and give her flowers because she inspired him to get into music. That was very nice indeed of David.
I anticipate the final battle for Idol Title to be quite the singing phenomenon. I think that we are in for a good show and once more, it will be difficult to choose who wins Idol Title. Both of the David’s are American Idols as Syesha is an American Idol. This year’s Idol Title is still up for grabs, either David can win it. I wish them the best of luck.
Ryan came out in a nice suit this week, the color suits him. Paula is getting more confident in her opinion, and I like seeing her take a stand and saying what she has to say. Randy is leaving the dawg image behind and actually coming into his own with his critques. (Even if we do not agree with him all the time). Simon, well Papa had a brand new bag on again last night, someone perhaps Ryan Seacrest really needs to show Simon how to dress appropriately. On the other hand, Simon Cowell most likely does not give a hoot about what he looks like or dresses like. Fair enough! Simon should be as generous and gracious with Idol competitors in the future, when they wear what they can afford.
In two days, the quest for Idol Title will be battled out. It will be a sing off and I think both Idolteers, David A and David C, will give us singing battle of our dreams.

Keith Olbermann – The Truth About The War And THE GOP!

This Article is Written And Owned By: Arnelle Durocher
At long last somebody finally came out and really laid it on the line to what the Bush Government has done for the American people and how his prinicipals have effected Americans and the World. I really can’t add to this but to congradulate Mr. Obermann, for his insight and truthfulness. Keith Olbermann only said what many Americans have been saying and thinking. Well done, Bravo, a standing ovation goes out to Mr. Olbermann.

The Idolteers Battle It Out- Strong Performances!
Dear Readers, For some reason my link is not working. There seems to be a glitch in the system. I have checked the link and I did attach the right one, but it reverts to this article. To read the new article please go to this link. http://paganmedia.wordpress.com/2008/05/18/please-celebrate-graceful-syesha-mercado-home/
I apologize for the confusion! Thank-you!
Tonight the final three really all did very well and the battle for Idol title raged on. I totally disagree with the three judges. I really thought that David Archuletta, Syesha Mercado and David Cook did absolutely well in every song they performed. However, they did highlight one song each that was outstanding. Again, this is a difficult decision and there is no clear-cut winner of the night. Not one of the final three outdid the other. I really wish all three could win. That is not how American Idol works, someone has to go.
This Article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
The show opened and Ryan came bombing out, telling another weird joke that nobody else got, however Ryan thought it was funny. The Idolteers were to sing three songs each. One that the judges picked for them, one they picked themselves and the producers choice.
David Archuletta comes out singing Paula’s song choice for him” And so it goes, his selection of “With You” and the producer’s choice longer.
David brought it out, and started the battle. Young David did not waver in any of his performances. When he sang “With you”, I thought oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this kid really blew it out of the ballpark and gave an excellent, well-sung, stellar performance. I do think that David will be in the final two.
Syesha Mercado sang Randy Jackson’s choice of “If I Ain’t got you” and her won selection of “Fever” and the producers’ choices of “Hit me up”. Syesha stood her ground against the two David’s in the battle for Idol title. I totally disagree with Simon that she blew it. I thought that Fever revved up the show, Syesha’s performance of Fever was well sung, well performed, sexy and sultry it was really well done. I also think that Syesha performed well enough to make the final two. I also thought that Syesha gave a stellar, excellent performance with “I ain’t got you”!
David Cook rocked on (an expression that a friend of mine uses, I am borrowing it for this article). I do not think that any of us were surprised that David continued with his excellent performances. David sang Simon’s choice of “First Time I ever saw your face”, his personal song selection of “Dare you to move” and the producers choice of “I don’t want to miss a thing”. I thought that the last song that David did was spot on and was indeed a stellar performance. I also think that David did enough to make the final two.
This is a tight race for final two, again it still is anyone’s win and I really cannot predict who will be in the final two. It may be the two David’s! However, will it? Syesha has made her mark and it could very well be Syesha with one of the David’s. Once more, I wish all three could win. For the first time in American Idol all three of the final Idolteers are really well liked and they perform well. It is very, very, very difficult to say that one outshone the other, truthfully, one did not out sing or outdo the other. Each Idolteer had their very good performances and their excellent, well-done, bravo, stellar; I will remember that song performance. I think whoever is eliminated will only be eliminated by a mere few votes.
I wish all three the best of luck. I also thank them for this year. I really do not have a favourite, I like them all.
What is with Ryan this season, he has had the same suit on for the entire season. EGADS, Please tell me that Ryan is not mimicking Simon by only wearing one color and one suit. Ryan you look to old in that suit, it makes you look like you are going to a funeral. Try to liven up and stop trying to portray the grim reaper.
Paula continues to improve on her own critiques and blissfully I am digging what I hear from Paula, who finally, finally, has made her voice heard. Rock on Paula! (borrowed expression). Randy continues to not listen to Simon and inspires us by being as truthful as he see’s it. Simon continues to face diss Syesha which is very predictable. Watching Simon put down Syesha is like watching a rerun.
Tonight the results will be revealed and we will have our Final two. Who will it be? Again, it is not as clear-cut and predictable as any other season, all three deserve final two spot and all three shone.

Survivor Micronesia Winner- James Clements Wins Fan Vote!
The last two weeks of Survivor was a whirlwind of more dumb results. First, how could Eric trust what the girls were saying? Where was Eric when these women blindsided Survivor guru’s like Ozzie and newer survivors like Jason and Alexis. Was Eric sleeping or was he just hoping that the girls found him so irresistible that they would keep him in the game? Eric knew Amanda was pissed off at him and Parvati was attached to Amanda. Eric knew that Cerie not Parvati pulled the biggest blindside over Ozzie. (More about that later) Eric knew that the girls wanted it to women ONLY! Did Eric not realize that he was one-step away from having a chance at a million dollars? It was a wasted valiant effort on Eric’s part to give up his immunity, since Natalie was voted out at the next tribal council after him.
This Article is written and owned by: Arnelle Durocher
First I have to give Cerie Fields all the credit in the world, she played this game well and if anyone was the mastermind behind those blindsides it was Cerie. I do not agree for a moment that Parvati was behind the blindsides it was Cerie that really MASTERMINDED those blindsides. I thought that Cerie made a decisive and critical move when it looked like Amanda and Parvati were going to vote her out instead of Natalie. Cerie made sure she said in front of the Jury that both Amanda and Parvati said they would not vote her out. Amanda and Parvati had no choice but to vote out their friend Natalie who they said they did not want to leave. Cerie is intelligent and was smart enough to know by putting it out in front of the Jury, that Parvati and Amanda would not want the jury to feel any worse about them as some of them did.
Parvati and Amanda also knew that if they voted Cerie out instead of Natalie that they would be handing Natalie one million dollars. The jury would have seen fit to give the fan survivor the million and not one of them. It was another brilliant move by Cerie. I am pissed off that it was not a final three. I really think that Cerie would have won the million dollars and what is more, she DESERVED to win the million dollars. I really was dissatisfied with survivors own blindside and Cerie being voted out. I really do not think that Amanda or Parvati was deserving of being in the final two. It is what it is and Parvati won but not to my or other viewers satisfaction
.
The jury questions were more emotional then they needed to be. If it is a game then the questions needed to be based on gameplay not on emotions.
Eliza’s emotions were overdone- Eliza is responsible for outing Ozzie, what is her beef, her expression all through jury was that she enjoyed the blindsides and she was quite gleeful. When it came down to jury, her concern was that she was being talked about behind her back. Excuse me, was Eliza not doing the same thing to everyone else? Yes, she was! Eliza did not respect Parvati. Funny I didn’t’ respect Eliza for outing Ozzie about the immunity idol when she knew she was being voted out.
Jason’s questions were reasonable, he simply asked Amanda would she have told Ozzie had she known that they were going to try to blindside him, she responded yes. He asked Parvati about her redeeming qualities. Parvati lied and said she was true to her alliance to the end. No, she was not, she did have a first alliance and she was not true to them. That was an out and out lie. She was true to her alliance of the ladies and to Amanda.
Alexis had questions that were toned to make Parvati look good and Amanda looked bad. She works with young girls and how Parvati thought she was a role model. I have to cynically chuckle at another lie that Parvati told. She said she was independent and more outspoken. No she is a flirt who uses her body and empty words to get her way. Alexis then set out to make Amanda look bad and talked about her phoney tears. Although I think that Amanda is a bit of a phoney. I do believe that it was difficult to send Cerie home. Amanda was not expecting it to be a final two. I also, think that had Parvati not warned Amanda that they were planning to blindside her, that Amanda may have sent Parvati home. Parvati was not true to her first alliance. Alexis said in a mean spirited way that she could not help but laugh at Amanda crying, I could not help but laugh at Alexis when she was blindsided, the look on her face was priceless.
Natalie was the one I liked the least on survivor, again her questions were geared like Alexis’ to make Parvati look good and Amanda look bad. She asked Parvati the sick question on flirting and let it be known that Parvati also flirts with women, because she flirted with Natalie. I think Natalie has a thing for Parvati. Parvarti sat right up there and let us know how shallow she was, she responded that she flirts with men and women to get her way. Just based on this one response the jury should have seen her empty words never mean anything, on the other hand some of the jury are just as shallow as Parvati. Then Natalie needed to be insulting and tells Amanda that she had a glazed over look in her eyes, really, I have always thought that Natalie had the look in her eyes of someone possessed! Natalie’s eyes are dark and cold. The only light that came in them during the show was when she was screwing someone over. I guess she was jealous of Amanda’s warm, sensitive eyes.
I personally was glad to see her arse voted out; I personally never liked her character on the show. Natalie’s character or at least the character that she displayed left much to be desired. She may be a missionary; she certainly did not display a compassionate, caring person on the show but rather a cold, manipulative, and it is all about me personality.
Eric’s question was also based on emotion. He told Amanda he would have voted one hundred percent for her to win, but he was hurt that she ripped him apart in front of the jury. He was upset, annoyed and pissed off. Please Eric needs to stop being self- deceptive. Amanda was telling the truth, Eric knew it, Amanda knew it and the viewers knew it. Amanda did save Eric’s arse from being voted out when his back was up against the wall. It is true! That when she asked for Eric’s help, he turned his back on her and was going to stick with Natalie’s plan of voting Amanda out. What did Eric expect Amanda to do, say nothing! Amanda was rightfully pissed off at Eric at that time. For Eric to try to take the highroad was comical. Amanda pegged Eric right; he would use people and move on to greener pastures when those people who helped him were no longer useful to him. That is what the truth is! Further Eric was dumb, because Natalie and Alexis were plotting all along to get rid of him, when it was his time to go. He should have made better alliances.
James’s question was inquiring, he let Parvati know that she screwed her original alliance when she helped to blindside Ozzie. Parvati did not care, she responded with such maturity (not) ha, ha, gotcha, now what! I guess Parvati does not care about starting a relationship with someone, not just flirting with them sleeping with them, then driving knives in their back! That is the kind of girl Survivor winner Micronesia Parvoti is, she was willing to do anything to win that million. Yes, she won but now with the price of how viewers think of her.
Cerie’s questions were reasonable she asked Amanda to tell her and the jury why Parvati deserved the million over her. Amanda should have been honest, she should have said, Parvati and I are friends that is why I choose her over you. Cerie asked Parvati to tell her and the jury why she should be sitting there instead of Parvati. Of course, Parvati flattered Cerie and told her what she wanted to hear. Not necessarily, what Parvati believed herself.
They left Ozzie for last and it was bursting with emotion. Ozzie just flailed on Parvati, and then declared his love for Amanda. Ozzie told Parvati not to talk to him, I guess he did not want to hear Parvati responses, this was his moment dammit! He told her that she threw away their friendship for money. How could she do that? I do not know even though I do not like Parvati and do not think she is deserving of winning the whole thing. It still remains that nobody was there to champion Ozzie to the million-dollar win. Ozzie was eliminated because he made himself believe that his alliance or in his case one of his alliance would not turn on him. He had the immunity idol; he should have brought it and played it. Ozzie’s ego and arrogance stood in his way. It is as simple as that. It was very touching that Ozzie declared his love for Amanda, but really, I could have lived without hearing it. I think that may have made some people jealous and may have added why Amanda did not win. After all, she has Ozzie she did not need the million dollars as well.
This was a season of the ultimate beautifully played blindsides ( except for Eric) I think that Eric should have known better at that point of the game and for him to give up his million dollar chance was just plain stupid! I also think that Eric’s question to Amanda was sullied since he was just as down and dirty as she was in the game. The indignation of Eric was at best laughable. Eric was plotting and was willing to vote Amanda out, until she blindsided them with her idol. What was his problem and beef that she got the best of him? Hey, if you play by the sword you are voted out by the sword.
I do agree that Amanda was not any better then the rest of the ladies, she played just as dirty, just as offensive and decisive and she did because she wanted her chance at a million dollars. That was fair enough, but she needed to be honest about her game play. Amanda lost her million dollars because she refused to be honest with her critique and her opinion of her own gameplay. Which was she was just as cutthroat as the rest of the ladies.
I am not pleased that Parvati won the million dollars. If there is not more of a fake person, Parvati is fake and phoney. As a mater of fact both Parvati and Amanda were fake with their little giggles and laughter. I thought that Parvati’s responses to the jury were not well thought out and even childish. However, five of the jury members decided that they would make a mad vote and let Parvati win who I think was not as deserving to win it all.
My favourites to win were James, Ozzie, Cerie, Eric and if Yau man and Kathy would have stayed, I would have been happy to see them win. I would have been happy with any one of them winning. When it came down to the final two, and I saw it was a choice between Amanda and Parvati. At the very least and even though she was not my favourite to win, I would have preferred to see Amanda win it and not Parvati.
In my opinion, a flirt is not brilliant gameplay, using ones body and empty shallow words is not gameplay. The truth is Parvati won by default and not her gameplay. Cerie really turned the game upside down. The only thing Cerie did wrong is not changing her alliance and allowing the men to be in that alliance. Again, it is what it is, but I was not happy with the fact that their was a final two and not a final three. I was not happy that Parvati Shallow (somehow, her last name is very fitting and suits her) won the million dollars and once more it is what it is.
I was happy that James for the second season in a row won the fan vote and one hundred thousand dollars. Congratulations James. James is humorous. When Jeff asked him what he thought of Eric giving up immunity, his expression was hysterical. It seemed that James still could not believe that Eric did this. James’s father was in the audience; James let us know his father is enjoying his celeb with the bloggers. Well once again, I am one of the bloggers that enjoyed Mr. James Clements Sr. It would be nice to see a survivor that would be paired with family. I would love nothing better then to see the survivors come back with family members. It would be fun to see James and his father back on the show, Ozzie and his loved one, Cerie with her loved one, Eric with his loved one, Amanda with her loved one, Yau man with his loved one and so on and so forth.
The only positive thing with Parvati winning is that we do not have to see her anymore, unless they hold a survivor of all the winners. On the other hand, that would be interesting to watch as well.
I must mention that Jeff Probst really started to annoy me with the last immunity challenge. Jeff did his best to unnerve the final three. Remember this is for a million dollars, if you drop it your fate is out of your hands. Jeff in the future SHUT-UP! Really, it is annoying and I personally felt you needed to be smacked. You sound more like a nag then a host.
One correction, Ozzie said Amanda wrestled a four foot shark by herself. Is ozzie blind, it was more like a four inch shark. I know he is in love, but the exagerration has to be stopped.
This was a season that there were many brilliant plays and many outrageously stupid plays. I understand that a man usually wins survivor and why the ladies played it the way they did, however, I do not understand how some of those blindsides happened. At any rate, it is what it is and Parvati Shallow wins Survivor Micronesia. Congratulations Parvati, I do hope you do good things with the money in your future. Parvati should use some of her winnings to buy herself some self-respect and dignity.
Survivor 17, will be hosted in Africa in Gabon. Earth’s last Eden. Gabon is unsullied in nature. It should be interesting to watch. Science says that humans originated from Africa, it is no wonder that it would be Africa that would have Earth’s last Eden. Survivot Gabon will be back in the fall.

A Change Is Gonna Come- Jason Castro future Potential
This week American Idol’s theme, was rock and roll hall of fame! This was a decisive and tough time for the final four. The top four are at a point in the competition that will either make them or break them. To avoid elimination the top four would have to be very sure of the songs that they choose and how they deliver them. David Archuletta, Syesha Mercado and David Cook all stepped up to the mic battled and went for glory to perhaps become this years American Idol. Jason Castro did not battle, he just sang as if he was hanging out with friends, goofing around. Having said that, I do not think that Jason really realized the potential position he was in for his future. I also do not think that Jason believed in himself enough as much as he should have.

This week David Archuletta stood his ground and delivered “Stand by Me” by Ben E King and “Love Me Tender” by the late great Elvis Presley. David’s Love me Tender was fantastic, this is the type of song that has the young girls crying out of joy of hearing their idol sing love. David has proven this season that he was here for a reason and planned to stay the season.
Syesha Mercado came out with Ike and Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” and “A change Is Gonna Come by the late great Sam Cooke. A Change certainly did come, with Syesha and she has proven why she is in the final three and has a chance at Idol title. Syesha sang both songs extremley well.
David Cook sang Duran Duran’s “Hungry like a wolf” and “Baba O’ Reilly” by the Who. As usual, David comes out, delivers with precise perception, thrills the viewers, takes his bows and proves why he has long been established in this competition as an Idol contender.
Last but not least Jason Castro, sang “The late great Bob Marley’s ” I shot the Sheriff”, and Jason selected Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man. Jason performances were ok, but unfortunatley ok does not reserve a spot for final three and a step closer to a shot at idol title.
When the competitors get to the final four spot, it is usually a time of reckoning. This is the point in the competition that the idolteers start defining their genres and what they aspire to as singers. Jason said that it was his inexperience that led him. I tend to agree with his statement, had Jason Castro been more experienced and better organized with his vocal arrangement he may have sailed right to the final two. What competitors have to realize is that the voters will not be as generous of forgetting the lyrics or their vocal prowess at this point of the competition. The truth is the American Idol voters do take their voting privileges and who they would like to see win Idol title seriously. The reason they do is that when the new American Idol is crowned, most of the viewers do intend to buy the Albums that the newly crowned American Idol releases.
Jason Castro was eliminated, but having said that, I still think that once Jason settles his nerves down, and gets very serious about a music career, that he would do very well. He has the vocals he just needs to hone in on them and fine-tune his vocals. He also needs to realize even if he aspires to a song of one his favourite artists, that his vocals do not always reach those ranges. Once Jason Castro positions his music genre, he potentially can reach quite a wide audience. Good luck to Jason with his future music aspirations.
Maroon 5 was on the idol stage this week, singing “If I Never See Your Face Again “,
This year’s final three is going to be difficult to choose on who will be the final two and who will win Idol Title. David Archuletta, Syesha Mercado and David Cook have really delivered each performance. For the first time in American Idol history, it really is not definite at who will be in the final two or even who will win. Usually at this point, of the competition, most of us can define and predict the final two and who will most likely win it. Not this year! Unless one of the top three really blows it with their song choices or performances, it is anybody’s win at this point. The final three’s performances, vocal arrangement and song selection will be on the line. They must come out and give it their all. Good luck to David A, Syesha M, and David C. Each of the final three deserve to be where they are in his point of the competiation.
Bo Bice was back on the Idol Stage singing “Witness” from his album. Bo Bice’s wife is also expecting their second child a boy. So now there will Bo Bice and Bo Bice Jr.
This week Paula continues to inspire us with her critiques. I like that new Paula Abdul because she is actually giving her opinion, not Simon’s or Randy’s opinion. That is very good to see, keep expressing Paula and very well done. Randy Jackson is not wavering in his opinions either, in previous seasons Randy at times did parrot Simon. Simon is virtually standing alone and we all know Simon’s opinions are what they are and he is not going to change them amidst the boo’s.
Speaking of Simon, I think that he is paying people to call in and flatter him immensely. Lately the questions to Simon have been ones that only serve to stroke his rather large ego and have it grow bigger. Come on now, questions of why he has not been knighted, can you imagine having to call Simon Cowell “Sir Simon Cowell” or telling him, he is sexy. I thought that Simon was going to orbit right out of the building to the nearest cloud. Having said that, Simon’s work with Idol gives back and other humanitairian causes, may get him knighted much to my chagrin. The Queen could very well call on Simon to be knighted based on his humanitarian work not his Idol Judge fame. I think if Simon is knighted we may not be able to see the idol performances in the future, we would only be able to see Simons’ big head. On the other hand, would find it hilarious if host Ryan Seacrest had to address Simon as “Sir”. Ryan of course has other problems right now; he still is looking like he is going to a funeral instead of hosting a popular reality show.
The final three sing-off should be good next week, it will be a battle for final two spot. It would also be nice if American Idol announced each week, how Idol Gives back fundraising is doing!

The last time we heard, American Idol raised over 65 million dollars towards child poverty. This is inspirational and the money raised has saved lives. Thank-you!
