I am I cried- Brooke White Eliminated!

At long last, Brooke White is ousted out of the American Idol singing competition. Brooke seemed to know she was getting the royal heave ho, she was grim and crying before Ryan Seacrest announced her demise. What is with Ryan, once more he showed favouritism towards a single competitor. I did not ever notice him holding, hugging and wiping any other competitor’s tears this year or in any past Idol shows. Ryan seemed to be more shaken up and emotional then Brooke was at her demise. Ryan did not even close the show; he was far too busy chasing Brooke the actress on the stage to further console her. I understand that everyone has the right to feel empathy and sympathy for another and under normal circumstances that is admirable. However, for the host of a television show to neglect closing the show and act like a lovesick puppy, it leaves a lot to be desired and it is very unprofessional on Ryan Seacrest’s part.

For the results show, Ryan comes out in his dismal attire and still looking like he was going to a funeral. He introduces the Judges. Randy and Paula look good, however, it is about Simon Cowell, he looked like he threw himself together in his wrinkled shirt. Ryan gets down to business and calls out Jason, David Archuletta, then David Cook, who are given the news that they are safe after over 45 million votes last night.

Natasha Bedingfield was on the Idol stage and performs “Pocket Full of Sunshine.” After her performance, Natasha asked if she could see David A and gave David Archuleta a kiss. Ryan enthusiastically jokes that David is looking for a prom date.

Neil Diamond sings his song from his new CD “Amazing Grace”. Neil Diamond shared that his album was personal, special, intimate, and about his life. Neil Diamond’s New Album’ “Home before Dark”, will be in stores May 6/08. Neil Diamond’s mother Rose Diamond was in the American Idol audience. Neil Diamond advised the idol competitors, the key to longevity is hard work, luck and love what you do. When he was asked if he thought the judges were fair, he thought that they were harsh at times, but generally really right on. He further told the idols to stay with it and jokingly said, “Don’t listen to what Simon says”.

Ryan then calls Syesha and Brooke to the centre stage and reveals that Brooke was literally leaving us tonight. Brooke cries and Ryan moves in for that last hug he seemed to so much enjoyed. Brooke sobs, wails and blubbers uncontrollably. I know she was upset and emotional, but I detect there was a bit of acting going on with Brooke. She sings her exit song and of course had to start over a couple of times amidst her tears and cracks in her voice.  At the very end Brooke threw in her last attempt for Idol fame and dramatically walks away ,turning her back on the audience at the end of her song.

Ryan could not control his own emotions or himself for a moment longer and started chasing Brooke, while forgetting to close the show. I will say it again, Brooke White would make a helluva actress or talk show host. It will be in those careers that she will shine. Ryan says she is brave, candid, vulnerable and beautiful. Excuse me Ryan, do you not think that every idol competitor past and present is/was not just as brave, candid, vulnerable and beautiful. I am wondering why no other contestant past or present ever received this type of rave review or attention from Ryan Seacrest. Ryan could not do enough nor could he stop trying to make Brooke feel better and console her. I am astonished at Ryan’s demeanour, he never gave anyone else that type of attention, at any other time.  I will reiterate it was very unprofessional on Ryan’s part. In my opinion, Brooke was no more special then any other competitor past or present. Ryan  in the future, get a grip and control your emotions please.

Next week The top four will perform Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Which may prove to be very interesting.

I AM NOT A QUITTER- I AM JUST A DROP OUT!

In the last two weeks, we saw two of the men leave Hell’s Kitchen, Josh and Craig. Josh was lazy, chauvnistic and a sexist; he had the ego the size of Mount Everest. Josh was so full of himself, he foolishly thought he did not have to know the menu. Criag was arrogant and thought he had it over the other aspiring chefs. Frankly there are many of the aspiring chefs on both teams that are very uppity and arrogant on this seasons hells kitchen. The men and the women have snooty issues.

The men seem to fair worse in that category, Ben and Matt really have issues above the norm. If Ben would spend less time, running off his mouth and more time listening to what he is being taught he may be successful. Matt sneers and jeers at everyone, he constantly has a grim look on his face. I really think that the four star general and Ben want to be careful, because they are not honest when it comes down to it. They are good buddies, but really running down the other members of your team is not working. This attitude will get the men nowhere and eventually cause their downfall that may result in them losing their chance at changing their lives. The enormous ego’s the men have is astounding.

The women are just as egostitical and arrogant. Corey, Christina, Jen, Roseanne, and Shayna really need to stop their catty, snooty behaviours and attitude. Roseann tanked she could not whip up mashed potatoes and carrots to save her life, last week she could not put out a salad. This week Jen had to take over that area for Roseann. Christina had a temper tantrum because she was not getting help from Jen. The problem was Jen had to take over from Roseann, Christina should have acknowledged that and asked for help sooner. Chef Ramsey told Corey to help her and Corey in thought said she did not want to help her. Jen is very good and seems to be doing well, but she needs to stop running off he mouth as well. I mean she has went past the gettysburg address and has delivered the I have a dream speech. Telling Chef Ramsay that she alone deceides her destiny is rather forward of Jen. Of course, Gorden Ramsey fast put Jen in her place when he quipped, ” No sweetheart I deceide your destiny in Hell’s Kitchen. Jen is a very good cook, however her arrogant mouth is huge and could cause her downfall. Shayna needs to stop going along with the others, she knew that putting up Christina for elimination was wrong.

So far both genders continue to fail in being honest, they are not deceiding elimination nomination based on skills, but rather on jealousey and trying to eliminate who they feel their threats are. The point of the elimination is honesty and integrity. Chef Gorden Ramsey helps the aspiring chefs hone in on their culinary skills, but he also is basing the winner on integrity, honesty and dicipline.

Last night, Vanessa Grunnell, threw in the towel with her burnt hand. She went and discussed with Chef Ramsey her thoughts of leaving. Vanessa said she was not a quitter, in the end and with the speed of light opted to quit.

For the first time this season both teams completed a full dinner service. Chef Ramsay told both teams to go back and select one from each group for elimination. The men picked Lou Ross, because they thought he broke down. In the meantime Matt could not get out an appetizer and ruined anything he touched amongst his grimaces and sneers. Lou Ross was having difficulty cooking a steak, and was fortunate when Petrozza saved his butt by taking a short cut with trimming off the burnt part of the steaks. Bobby does do well, as Lou Ross usually does, however, if Bobby cannot tell his friend Ben he sucks, and put him up when he deserves it, then he may very well lose that opportunity. Are they there to try and win the opportunity of a lifetime to run a million dollar restaurant, or are they there to be pals and buddies with each other.

Chef Ramsey has a palate that can detect any abnormally in any food. While the men thought that Ben’s pizza was the best, Chef Ramsay knew the mushrooms had not been washed. This caused the men to lose another competition.

The women are faster and get things done quicker. They need to also put aside their catty diffrences and pull together if one of their team members needs help. It only reflects better on them to do so, that along with honesty to which of their team weighed them down in dinner service. The men have the same problem, if they cannot make an honest choice for elimination, then it will continue to reflect badly on their character.

Chef Ramsey could not believe his ears when he heard who each team nominated for elimination. Fortunatley for Lou Ross and Christina, Chef Ramsey chose not to eliminate anyone, because Vanessa had quit and dropped out of the competition.

Next week, someone is coming back to join the Chefs and from what viewers could see, neither team is pleased with whom they gain. It was announced the most unpredictable Hell’s Kitchen next week. Should be interesing, since the apiring chef’s looks like they are ruining a sweet sixteen birthday party.
