Idol Gives Back- One Year Ago Today

American Idol revealed that so far Idol gives back has raised over 65 million dollars to aide in child poverty. The money being raised and used for the plight of child poverty is encouraging. Child poverty is one of the leading factors of why children die, however, child abuse and child abductions is another huge problem with the plight of children’s health and well- being. Today is exactly one year that the world was gripped with the story of one such child little Madeline McCann. Maddy went missing while on vacation with her parents.

Kate and Gerry McCann ask that anybody that could, would you light a candle for Maddy to come home. Please read my article on the plight of missing ,abducted children and child abuse. As adults, we must consider and adopt the ideology that every adult globally is responsible to bring awareness to the plight of children in every nook and cranny of the world. Simply keeping the awareness alive of the children missing and not yet found, would be a good start. Anything that anyone can think of is needed and no matter how little you may think your contribution is, every bit does indeed help. It is time that we as adults take responsibility and do what we can to bring down the harsh realities of what is happening to children around the world, through poverty, through child abuse, through child abductions.

Every bit of help is a greater contribution more then people think. As one dollar could change a life, so can putting up a blog, keeping abducted children’s images and signatures on sities would be a big help. Please consider doing your part.

Madeline McCann is one case of missing and exploited children

One year ago, little Madeline McCann was abducted at a vacation resort in Portugal. One year ago, a family’s life was shattered and torn apart. Watching a documentary last night on the case of Madeline McCann, it came with the thought some people have spent the last year discussing the parent’s behaviour. Fair enough, but if Madeline is still alive, she needs everyone’s help in trying to locate her. Some experts have given two theories, that a pedophile ring has taken her, and/or the small percentage of hope that someone whom abducted her may have wanted to raise Madeline as their own. Madeline can be anywhere in this world, and if she is still alive, we need to do our parts in trying to help find her.

Kate and Gerry McCann are clearly still distraught about Madeline missing. Yes, they clearly made a grave error and a mistake. Everybody that ever commented on the case have voiced that opinion, Gerry and Kate McCann have acknowledged this as well and have taking responsibility for their actions. However, how is continuing crucifying the parents helping Madeline if she is still alive? The McCann’s have received mail from those that are very empathetic and sympathetic to their plight in trying to find their missing child, while others are hell-bent to voice their opinion through jeering and hate. Once more, what do the persons sending hate mail to the McCann’s think they are achieving and how is this helping to try to locate Madeline. Nobody knows better then Kate and Gerry McCann that they made the mistake of their lives. I doubt if they knew that their precious daughter was going to be abducted that they would have left her, in fact, had they known or detected anything of that nature, I am willing to bet they would have cut their vacation short and headed back home with their children.

I also watched another documentary on how the Canadian police have broken into global pedophile rings on the internet.

One of the most progressive ways that sex offenders are getting to their victims is via the internet. Here is the sick part, according to global police statistics. Thirty Five percent of the children being raped are under the age of five. Nineteen percent are under the age of three. Many of the predators of children are someone the child knows, stepfathers, grandfathers, teachers, ministers, someone the child knows and trusts and is involved in their daily lives. This is one of the reasons children keep quiet about what is happening to them.

However, some of the stranger abductions like in the case of Madeline McCann are a different scenario. Stranger or non- family abduction can be considered the most violent of the five groups. Not only are these children taken from their families, the children are at risk to having grave harm forced upon them. From savage and brutal rape, physical abuse, mental abuse. Stranger abduction can result in sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and pornography; in addition, prostitution and homicide are among the most common crimes perpetrated against missing children that are abducted by strangers.

According to police statistics, there are over twenty million pedophile ring sites on the internet, who are exploiting and harming children. Globally our police forces are rallying and working together to break through these internet rings. Police are using a new high- tech program, child exploitation tracking system and are able to break through the super encryption codes that pedophiles thought were unbreakable. Arrests have been made in Canada, USA, Australia, Britain, and all over Europe. Thirty-five global police agencies are working cohesively to track down these sites.

Imagine there are over 20 million internet sites as we speak with the sole purpose of exploiting and harming children. These sites show photographs of the abused children, show the children being brutally raped. A team of international investigators infiltrated an Internet chat room used by pedophiles called “ Kids the Light of Our Lives. This site streamed live videos of children being raped in the most savage and brutish way imaginable. Some of these children were only months old. Police were able to not only break into the Pedophiles code they were able to identify more than 700 suspects worldwide.

I remember speaking to a woman in Portugal who shared with me a case of a seven-year-old boy that went missing locally. He was seen on the net being sexually abused. By the time, the Police found him it was to late the child was dead.

If Madeline is still alive, then she needs everyone’s help globally. I put out my thoughts on a message board. Some folks have opted to email all the information about Madeline to their family and friends and keeping her picture on signatures when they post. My own thoughts is that if we are going on vacation, and since Madeline can be anywhere in the world at this point, it would be a good thing for people to download and print her photos and put them up in the country that they are visiting. I also think that globally adults need to work together for the sake of all children that are missing. I want to try to put up a site that features children missing from around the world. If there are over twenty million sites that are used to exploit and harm children, there should be double that amount that features missing children globally. As a united people we can help to bring down pedophiles and perhaps help to find missing children. Nobody is asking that anyone endanger themselves. However, putting up and keeping a blog would be a start.

Kate and Gerry McCann have asked that we light a candle for Madeline to be returned home. I am lighting my candle for Madeline today, I hope that anyone reading this will also light their candle for Madeline and all children that have been abducted and missing. If children are our future, why are we not doing enough to protect them? In my view, every adult in every community and country globally has the responsibility to help protect children. We as adults are responsible to try and help missing and abducted children but also those children that are being abused and at times murdered by someone that they trust or someone that is a stranger that may have murdered them.

These children are our children and our futures. Nobody has the right to take them from us and harm them. The more people that think of different innovative ways that help the plight of children being exploited and harmed, the better. There is work to be done and every little bit helps moreso then people think. For the sake of the children please consider helping in any way you can.
