CBS Big Brother Forum Fans Call for Boycott!

The CBS Administration Team put forth this letter to their fans on the Big Brother 10 forum. The result of this is not only the Big Brother fans upset, many of the fan forums are now upset about the change of forum format. Fans are now calling for a Boycott!

Letter from Big Brother Administrative team to their fans:

Hello Big Brother Fans!

Welcome to the new Big Brother Community. As you’ve noticed and as we’ve acknowledged, we’ve gotten off to a bit of a rocky start, but looks like we’ve gotten things stabilized a bit and we’re hoping that you are starting to get comfortable with the new board format. We know change can be tough, but we sincerely believe that what we’re building will be even better than what we had before.

In addition to our new forums we’ve released some fantastic new features that we want to make sure all you fans are aware of:

- The ability to connect with your fellow fans by adding friends to your profile and sending compliments (go ahead and add us – and feel free to send us a few compliments if you like as well )
- The ability to upload multiple pictures of yourself and share with other fans
- The ability to link to your own blog or website and share it with other fans
- The ability to rate your favorite videos
- The ability to comment on your favorite videos, cast members and recaps
- The ability to declare yourself a fan of your favorite videos, cast members, recaps (just look for the I’m a Fan button located below each video, cast member, recap next to the Add This bookmark button)

This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks we’ll be rolling out even more great features that will provide you with the ultimate Big Brother experience.

Unfortunatly for the CBS and Big Brother Adminstration it is almost too little to late, the fans hate the forum and are advertising on the boards and elsewhere of boycotting the new forum. CBS your fans not just from the Big Brother forum but your other fans are speaking to you, you may want to listen to them.

In response to the CBS team’s letter on the Big Brother 10 forum. The CBS forum fans that frequent the CBS site have issued this letter and are calling for a Boycott.

CBS is changing the formats of the message boards. There are a lot of problems with the new format. Even if things are fixed, there will still be problems. There is no way to reply to a particular poster. Replies move you to the end of the thread and you lose your place. The type is very small. And this is just the beginning. There is a proposal for people to completely boycott ALL the CBS message boards on Thursday and Friday. This means both posting and lurking. Hopefully CBS will realize just how unhappy we are. CBS your Big Brother fans are angry, discontent, and disgruntled. Even though you put out a nice letter and are attempting to reconcile your fan anger it is not enough and almost to little to late. Your fans that frequent your forums feel that you should have been better prepared for the new season. I tend to agree with them.

Last year, you threw together a forum that your fans were not happy with , however they adapted as best as they could and they felt it was user friendly. This year, you really erred and now your fans are fed up. You have to remember that there are many different groups out there that post about your shows on your different forums. Fans do updates, spoiliers, feeds, housecalls, general, off topic, discussion, banter just on BB forum alone, but your fans do this for your other CBS shows. These people have been part of the Big Brother and CBS forums fan family for a long time. I think you also need to realize the age of some of your fans that like the old format, because of their eyesight.

If you are going to change your forums you may want to pick a format that is user friendly and simple so all of your fans of all ages, that frequent your forums can particpate on the forums of their favorite CBS shows. You may want to consider your fans discontent, objection, and listen to your fans, not patronize them any further. CBS you really need put up decent fan forums for all of your shows. Your fans are really reeling from this and are quite perturbed and angry. Today they are calling to boycott just your fan forums. If your fans continue to be angry, you need to look at future possiblites and what else the fans may consider boycotting. Somebody dropped the ball CBS and it is time you pick it up and run with what is being conveyed to you. Better late then never!

Just one more teeny bit of advise. Your mods deletions of this discussion is not doing your organization any favours, they are just pissing off your fans further. Your fans are trying to convey how they feel to you. It is time you read what they are saying, have someone respond without patronizing them and do act on what is being conveyed to you. Look at this way CBS, how do you think your older fans feel when they cannot even read the new fan forum because of their eyesight.

Adam Castelli’s Motorcycle Performance Gets The Boot!

Canadian Idol host Ben Mulroney (son of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney) does not fool around with the results of who is staying and who is going. He is not dramatic about it at all, unlike American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Ben just dives right into the results and lets the idolteers and viewers know in a timely manner how Canada voted. The idolteers learn whether they are safe or in the bottom three.  Basically it is over in a speedy time instead of the dramtic hour that the American Idol results show puts on. Nine idolteers learned that they had a stay of grace and one idolteer received the bad news. This week Adam Castelli Motorcycle Peformance was the one that met his demise. It was not a shocker, any of nine could have been the one to learn that they did not get enough votes to stay on.

Ben wished the competitors good luck, told them it was a pleasure to be with all of them and that it was a great performance show. I think we need to add in a clean the ears kit for Ben Mulroney. It really was not a great show on Monday. Really it wasn’t!

I really do not think it is fair to ask the judges who they think will survive when three competitors are standing there waiting to hear if they stayed alive in the compeition. Nor is it right to ask whom the judges favour at any time.

Adam took the news rather well; he thanked everyone for their support and  said it was a great ride . In a video interview, he reflected that now that he had been on this  Idol journey, he learned that Canadian Idol is not for the faint of heart. It is tough competition and there are moments when competitors really want to pack it all in, but you gotta just keep on going.

Next week’s theme is ” Rock and Roll Heaven”, Ben said that the theme will be classic rock songs from artists that are dead. Giggling he advised he could not sugar coat that one. The top nine will come to our screens on Monday at a new time. 9 PM ET/PT/8 PM CST.

POV Results- The Player Gets Played

Last night’s Big Brother show was one of the best if not the best POV show I have seen in a long time. Well ever since Dustin was blindsided on BB8 and was put on the block and then evicted. Jesse not Jerry won the POV. The house becomes aware Brian’s attempt to control of the house,  and that he also tried to clone Dr. Will’s gameplay.  Brian the Player does indeed get played by most of the Houseguests.

One alliance is one thing but trying to play the whole house is another thing. Brian’s most fatal mistake was not knowing that women eventually will get around to talking. Ollie told April, Libra and Keesha that they were safe from going up. Brian walked in and Ollie told him to let them in on the plot. Brian swaggered over thinking he had it going on and told the girls that they were putting up Memphis. His reason was that Memphis proved to be to competative in the POV competition.  Brian also foolishly was bragging to anyone that would listen that he had Jerry under his control. Not a bright move, even it it were true for a period, he may have wanted to keep that to himself so early in the game.

When Brian advised the girls about his plot, Libra and Keesha had a look on their faces that women will have when someone is saying or doing something that they are not agreeable to going along with. Dumb Brian did not read those faces. After Brian swaggered out with his puffed up unwarranted ego, Libra honed into the two other girls right away. Libra said, did you see him, the other two girls did agree that he was trying to control them and their votes. In the meantime, Brian thought he had Jerry under his thumb and Jerry would do what Brian told/manipulated Jerry to do.

Just as I thought not one of this seasons HG’s were not going to try to play the game like past BB HG’s, Brian thinks he is Dr. Will Incarnate. The ladies were not going to have any of that nonsense. Libra told April that Ollie was in an alliance with Dan and Brian. At first, April had a difficult time believing that Ollie was involved in an alliance and had not said anything to her. Libra took it one-step further and asked Ollie directly in front of April, if he were in an alliance with Brian and Dan. Ollie admitted to being in an alliance with Dan but not Brian. Ollie saw his alliance crumbling so he helped the girls put forth the plot of flipping the house and to have Jerry nominate Brian for eviction.

The three split up and talked to all of the other HG’s except for Dan and Brian. They all agreed to talk to Jerry about Brian to try  to get him to change his nominations and put Brian on the block. At first, Jerry was steadfast with his loyalty to Brian a fellow Marine, and told the HG’s that he did not know if he could trust anyone.

At the POV meeting, Jerry was clearly upset that he had to go back on his word, to the point he would not wear anything with the military on that day,  because he is a man of honor and did not want to do anything to embarrass his fellow military patriots. I found that quite refreshing of how Jerry was that loyal. He is so honourable that he felt shamed for what he had to do, and did not want to embarrass the military. Unlike Dan who feels that he can be as cutthroat as possible and take it up with God later.

The look on Dan and Brian’s faces was priceless and one I will remember for a long time.  They both sat up their on their high horses thinking not only was Jerry going to be led around by the nose, but he was going to do exactly what Brian had told him to do and put up Memphis. When Jerry started giving his speech, the faces on Brian and Dan started to slowly show realization that something was wrong and amiss. It was almost like watching a sinking ship in slow motion. Brian the Dr. Will clone was played by most of the houseguests and Jerry did in fact put him up on the block. I did like Jerry’s strategy. He made sure that he let Brian and Dan know that eight people came to him and wanted him up on the block because of all of the alliances. I thought that was smart of Jerry not to take the full responsibility and blame for changing nominations. The look on some of the HG’s faces such as April was also priceless when Jerry advised Brian and Dan of this at the POV meeting.

The show ends and Angie starts crying and hugging Brian. Which I think is a lark, since Angie was very vocal in Jerry’s hoh room, telling Jerry he had to put Brian up. The player was indeed played and it was hysterical to watch. If last night is, an indication of what type of a show we are going to be viewing this is going to be a great season. Again, I will still reserve judgement, but so far so good CBS and Big Brother. The HG’s simply have to play the game, as they would do as if this were the first season. There is only one Dr. Will, Dick Donato, Janelle, Keyser, Howie, and ect…. If they play the game without the preconceived notion that they must mimic and clone past HG’s it should be a very good show.

The Big Brother Forum  Mods corner:

The Big Brother Mods are starting to pick up the pace and showing some signs of doing their jobs. They are not quite on par just yet, but they are slowly performing their duties with the goal of equality for all BB forum members. They need more coaxing to perform their full duties. For the last two days the CBS, Big Brother and the mods are attempting to reconcile fan anger. Keep up the good work mods. All fans understand the need for moderation; your fans just want you to moderate with equal status for all.

Out of fairness the CBS, Big Brother also put out a post on the BB10 forum advising the fans of their awareness of the fans great dislike or hatred for the new forum. I am posting it here, because I wrote about the fan discontent and to be just to CBS and Big Brother 10 show.  It is only fair and as I promised to also publicly put out their response to their fans discontent! It is nice to see immediate and direct reconciliation of fan anger and response to fans discontent. Again, while CBS and Big Brother mods still have a ways to go, they are at the very least making attempts to meet with the discontent of their fans. Once more, keep up the good work CBS and Big Brother mods!
