The Way You Look Tonight- The Guys Brought It. April is Child abuse awareness month

Last week we saw the demise of Lil and Anoop. I thought that Lil was unjustly trounced upon by the judges through every performance.  However, if it is any constellation to Lil, In season three, a competitor was eliminated in the exact same round as Lil had been eliminated last week. This season three competitor was not ever given rave reviews by the judges, as Lil was not given this season. Her name is Jennifer Hudson and she PROVED the judges wrong on their critiques of her, to the point that Simon had to humble himself and apologize to her. I thought that was an interesting bit of Idol history to share!

Last Night’s American Idol proved to be quite interesting. Four out of Five performances lit a fire that was not about to go out. Jamie Foxx was the host performer in the house who proved to be great in his leadership of helping the idolteers with their vocals. The most inspiring show of the night was that the judges had separate opinions and individual thoughts last night. Of course, Simon was not without the personality of the grim reaper waving his scythe all through the night. Last Night’s theme was of the era of the “ Rat Pack” the pack had included the late great Icons of” Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. “

The show opens and Ryan comes swaggering out, I see he has been working on his John Wayne walk. Swagger those hips Seacrest. With all the smirking that he could muster, Ryan made the big deal announcement that because there was such a great support last week, they are going to to have two phone lines this week. Whoppie! Um don’t they have two phone lines every year when it gets down to the final five? Yes they do! So in reality it was not because of the huge support but rather what American Idol practices every year. He introduces the dopey judges and gets on with it. A special mention that Paula as usual looks stunning. Paula always has nice attire on. ( Cough! Simon may want to take some tips from Paula on sprucing himself up). The idolteers were told that a mystery guest would be arriving and to their pleasure Jaime Foxx graces them with his presence.

Kris Allen gets the nod to show us what he’s got- He sang “ The way you look tonight”! Well Kris surprised all of us tonight, he did extremely well. Randy thought it was his best performance of the night, Kara thought he set the technical standard so incredibly high. Paula commented on his looks and called him a contemporary crooner. Simon naturally was not as enthusiastic as the other three doe heads, he thought it was a little bit wet! Simon went as far to say that he did not think that Kris could win the competition. Simon of course couldn’t resist using his scythe and testing it out all night. When Ryan asked what he meant by “wet”, Simon didn’t know what he meant, he said that it was not dry! Right! Nothing like giving a critique and not knowing what you mean when you give the critique.

Allison Irehata gets the calls to show second singing “ Someone to watch over me” On another night Allison would have placed OK and safe. However last night the guys brought it and Allison’s performance was simply not good enough or up to the standard of the other performances. Randy loved it and was not nervous anymore for Allison. Kara thought it was a gut wrenching rendition, deep emotional  and way beyond Allison’s years. Paula was gleeful and felt that it was innocent and tender. She was proud. Simon asked if Allison thought she could can win at this stage. Allison said yes, I however, personally don’t think so. Simon extended that he thought it was a great performance, but he felt she was in trouble last night. It was not a 10 in commitment and belief.

Matt Giraud steps up to the idol mat and sung “My funny Valentine.” – Randy, who had said earlier, he was looking to see who wanted to win it was not enthusiastic and thought it was a little pitchy, it did not quite come together. Kara felt Matt did not have an emotional connection to the song. Paula loved what he did with the song, and felt the connection, it was pure, simple, and really impressive, excellent job. Simon disagreed with Randy, and said it was the only believable authentic song he heard last night. He thought it was absolutely brilliant.

Danny Gokey- places fourth to show us his vocal prowess and sang “ “Come Rain Or Come Shine” At that point Danny proved again to be the best of the night. Randy was tickled and joyfully shared that Danny was the only one that he heard last night, that actually could have an album of the crooner theme and win idol title. Randy announces this is a singing comp and you can sing. What a revelation from Randy Jackson, that it was a singing competition. You think! Kara, thought he swagged and was the most creative and unbelievable. Paula, made it short and sweet, she quipped it was a stellar, stellar performance. Simon thought Gokey had confidence, proved a point with his vocals. The best he heard all week and that Danny should thank Jamie Foxx for working his vocals to the level he did.

Adam Lambert gets the last call of the night and sang ” Feeling Good”. He proved to equal Danny in the best performance of the night. I know some will argue that Adam did better than Danny however I disagree. On the contention that Adams song had its bright moments with high notes and the ending no doubt was spectacular, but it still equaled Danny in performance, when you really listen back. The Judges were all pleased as punch at Adam’s performance. Heck my kids were giving me that uh huh “ I told you so,stare after he performed last night”. You know that gleeful knowing stare that kids give their parents when they think they have one over on them. I don’t know who was more tickled the judges or my kids. I have also been advised by my kids that I am not allowed to criticize Adam in their presence. LOL ( I do it anyway)!

The top performances of the night- much to my kids delight ( Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey)

Second best: Kris Allan and  Matt Giraud also tied

Worst perfomance was Allison Irehata

Who I think should go home- Allison
Who will go home after America Votes- Allison

Dumbest comments of the night goes to Kara and Simon- Kara for her mouth drops/gapes open and Simon for his dumb wet critique.

The visual best dress award goes to Paula- She has not been outdone in her smart attire and dress. She always looks stunning.

Last night the four guys brought it and blew it out of the ballpark. I will be interested to see if they continue to be consistent. Tonight’s live result show will send an Idolateer walking. The final two seems to be leaning toward a Gokey vs Lambert sing off for Idol title. However, Matt and Kris have also shown they could have what it takes to win the title. Last night’s performances by the guys proved to be difficult for voters because all four overall actually did well.

Taylor Soul Man Hicks will also be in the Idol house tonight at the live results show and I can hardly wait to see what he brings us.

Ignorance Reborn- Speak English To Me In Your Country! April Is Child Abuse Awareness Month!

You know when these racers, travel around the world, one thing that should be in their daily manual is not to become insulting and offensive to the natives of any country. We have endured the redheads ongoing ignorance all through the race. Last night we had to endure the sisters Jen and Keisha’s ignorant emphasis on Chinese/Asian people. I am sorry but when ignorance rears its ugly head it really is disturbing. Keisha thought that Chinese people had looked dumb, because they could not understand English. Honestly, Keisha and Jen looked dumb for asserting that they feel that when they are in another culture’s country that they should speak English to them. As did the two redheads when they asked if natives spoke English and were annoyed and put out that the natives did not speak English as they demanded.

Over the seasons, some of the competitors for Amazing race have demonstrated that they think that when they are racing in other countries that the people of of the country should speak English to them. Humph! Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you are in their country they are not in your country. The custom is that you would need to speak their language to them, not the other way around!

After reviewing the potential finalists for a million dollars, I have had to revoke my support for Luke and Margie and now Jen and Kisha. The redheads never had my support or hope that they would win. This is not saying that what Luke did to Jen last week was right, but I just cannot stand this much ignorance in one race.  As much as Victor has a big ego,  is a crybaby and a whiner, I must give my support to Victor and Tammy. They are the ONLY ones out of the potential finalists that have never shown ignorance to the natives of the different countries they raced in this season.

The best example of racers that ” The Amazing Race” ever had was season 9, when BJ Averell and Tyler MacNiven not only raced and showed a tremendous amount of respect for each country and their people, but they also won the race. BJ and Tyler were not just winners of  the one million dollar prize, they were also winners as human beings on the great respect level they showed all through the season nine race to other people and countries. Perhaps Amazing race should  have all racers review BJ and Tyler’s race record before they start.

Last night amazing race had the redheads thinking that at last they finally came in number one. They were disappointed to find out that they were still racing when Phil handed them another clue. They should have realized that they were not finished when the host person of the country was not with Phil at the mat. Anytime a leg of the race has ended, Phil always has a representative from the country greet and welcome the racers. Further there is always that special twist somewhere in the race of a continuance of racing.

I thought for sure that Keisha and Jen were out and we had our final three racers, however that was not to be. It was actually a bit of luck for the sisters as they may still have a chance to make final three. Next week will be interesting to see whom will be in the final race for one million dollars.

Melissa Rivers Loses To The Manson Sisters-Remember April Is Child Abuse Awarness Month

Holy Moley, tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice was filled with thunder, lighting, fire and brimstone.  Donald Trump must need ratings for his show badly, for him to allow the explosions to go on that we witnessed tonight with his show. First off I really feel that Melissa Rivers was treated badly, by Annie Duke who is nothing more than a ” poker player and con artist”!, by Brande who does not have enough in her mind to say she even has a brain that has slight waves, and by this financial worker who is not that good at his job anyway. Annie is so superficial and transparent it is not funny. I don’t think I can stomach much more of her “I think I am so sweet I make myself sick attitude”. She sits up there, all teeth in her smiles with her other personality that she reserves for Donald Trump and really is mendacious in her review of her team. Seriously, I don’t know how they can say that Anne is brilliant when she is nothing more than a con artist.

The way Melissa was attacked and treated by this financial worker, was disgusting, and he should be fired, never to be seen again. To add insult to injury Donald Trump decided he was going to be as immature and juvenile as Annie Duke and Brande. We were treated ( not) to “The Donald” passing a note, whispering to the idiot next to him, how childish and poor behavior coming from a man like Donald Trump. When has Donald Trump EVER displayed whispering and passing a note in the boardroom, in the history of apprentice, NEVER! I am sorry but I am not high on Donald Trump, he is a dick and he demonstrates his ball whacking very well, every week.

First off, Brande and Annie LIED their asses off in the boardroom. Anne admitted to playing the game just as Melissa and Joan has been reading it out to Trump. Yes, the two little darlings ( Annie and Brande) did in fact freeze Melissa Rivers out in this task. Yes they did act childish and immature with their high school tactics that Donald Trump not only was gullible enough to fall for, but he endorsed by doing the same thing. Further to the fact, the real reason Brande and Annie lost this task was that they did freeze out Melissa whom did most of the work in the past when they won! Annie took the lead and control this time and the result was a loss.

I cannot blame Melissa for being angry and upset, she was treated badly by Annie ( whom really feared going up against Melissa) which is why Annie wanted her out. If Annie went up against Melissa she would have lost hands down. Annie was lying when she said she would rather go up against Brande, because she feels she can beat Brande. That is if she gets to the final two.

Further the issue of Melissa not raising enough money was brought up, well you know what, perhaps Donald should fathom the fact that not everyone wanted to endorse or pay high prices for his daughters jewelery line. As one reader put it on another blog, ” they thought that this was to raise money for charity and not how much money one could raise.”  Has the thought ever crossed Trumps mind that some people that the Rivers and he knows refused because they simply did not want to pay large sums of money for  jewelry? All a person can do is ask, they can’t force a person into buying Ivanka Trumps jewelry line. Annie won last week based on Melissa’s hard work and based on the fact she demanded, cursed, swore and yelled that her poker playing friends should support her in the task. Without Annie’s friends and Melissa’s work last week, Annie would have lost by a landslide. Further it is going around the net that Annie offered to give one of her poker playing friends a ” blow job” in return for his purchase. Um how does that fit into the world of Trump’s business. There is nothing classy about poker playing Annie. In fact Donald Trump fired another Ivana on his apprentice show in 2004,  for similar tactics. Gee I wonder if he will fire Annie and use the same excuse of what he based his decision on as he did with Tionne?

What was Melissa Rivers to do, when they froze her out in this task? She offered herself over and over again, only for Brande to deny her any part of the task. In fact Melissa had to make her own work, while Brande played stupid at the photo shoot. There were two reasons why Melissa was frozen out solid in this task by the Manson sisters ( Annie and Brande) . One was the obvious if she lost, they would railroad her in the boardroom, which they did tonight. If they won, they would be stuck with her for another week, but they would use the past against her in the event of a loss. I am sorry I do not respect Trump’s decision and I do not respect the fact that he allowed his right hand guy who is a financial worker to maliciously attack Melissa Rivers.

Up until now I enjoyed the show, I may not bother to watch it anymore. If Donald Trump thinks that Annie Duke ( one half of the Manson sisters) and her self adoration is fun to watch, he is sadly mistaken and misguided. If Donald Trump thinks that watching dimwitted Brande( the other half of the Manson sisters)  is fun to watch on his show he is delusional. Sure he got his ratings tonight, but I am not so sure that he will get them next week. Not many viewers enjoy watching injustices on television( we see too many of them in real life, everyday)! Not many people enjoy watching immaturity and than big man Trump endorsing it. I think that Donald may have erred this season with some of his firings. People are still fuming over the Tionne and Khloe firings, they are not going to take kindly to this firing.

According to Donald Trump it is not personal it is business. Tell me, when Melissa Rivers insisted on being able to finish her defense of herself, was her firing looming because the financial jerk and the Donald viewed it as disrespectful?

Humph well you know what Mr. Trump, it is customary that someone with good manners knows well enough not to cut off someone when they are speaking. I think it is fair to say that Melissa was right, she was not heard, because Donald Trump was not listening. That financial worker is nothing more than a Donald Trump yes man and an ass kisser. He kisses Donald Trumps arse very well, you can see the brown crud gleaming from his face.

The Jessie James vs Clint Black fiasco was mild compared to the boardroom. I think that Annie sucks and if anyone has to listen to I, I, I, I, I and me, me, me, me, me, anymore it will be enough to make some of us want to gag. I also think that Annie saying that she does not personally attack someone is outrageous proverbial lie. No Annie Duke does not personally attack someone to her face, she is a liar and deceitful in her way. She just attacks them behind their back. Why tonight she even said that she felt like punching Melissa in the face. Why was that, because Melissa had the nerve to say that she thought that they all worked equally on the task. Annie could not have that, as she is selfish in that way.  She is not trustworthy in my view and she is Not fun to watch and disgusting. However, Annie thinks she is sooooooo adorable and perfect. Is this really how business is done in Trumps world of business? Well, I would not be so proud nor brag about it, if this is Trumps world of business.

Some will say and argue that Melissa reacted badly, I tend to disagree and I beg to differ, she acted very frustrated after enduring the shabby treatment she did get from Annie and Brande, Donald Trump and that asskisser that was sitting beside Trump ( Not Ivanka his daughter). Ah well what is one to expect from a ” Poker Player and a Bimbo”! and  I am being quite generous when I say poker player and bimbo. There are other words for these two ( cough) ladies, however I won’t divulge that description on the ” Manson Sisters” in my article.

Joan walked out and left the show. I can’t blame Joan Rivers, and no I don’t think she over-reacted, I think because she realizes what Annie and Brande was doing and achieved it is all she could stand. I also think that Melissa Rivers is right in saying she will not grant the show an interview. I can’t blame her for that position. What Donald Trump has missed is that he may be the star in the business world, but he is dealing with other stars and they DON’T HAVE TO TAKE HIS SHIT OR ANY OF HIS RIGHT HAND PEOPLE’S SHIT. Joan and Melissa Rivers set Donald on notice tonight and they were very right to do so. Frankly, celebrity apprentice is popular because of the celebrities like Joan Rivers, Herschel Walker etc… not apprenti’s like Annie Duke and Brande. If Joan Rivers does not return, that will be the end of the Celebrity Apprentice season for this viewer.

Celebrity Apprentice- Oh boy!

Tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice was rip roaring crazy. Oh do I have a lot to say on this. What went down was NOT right! at all. Anne should have been fired not Melissa. I will be back with an article tonight.

Beautiful Blindside vs Blissful Arrogant Tyson- April is Child Abuse Awareness Month

I have watched survivor from the beginning, yet, this Survivor Tocantins is one of the most interesting ones to watch. After being treated to the James and Ozzie’s phenomenons, we needed to have a good and interesting cast of characters with this seasons Survivor.

Tyson got a beautiful never saw it coming blindside. It was hysterically hilarious to watch Tyson’s face go from smug , confident, self assured to slow realization that he was about to get the royal boot. It was just as comical to watch Coach’s dumbstruck face when realization set in that his bosom buddy’s torch was about to be extinguished.

Survivor has a history since Survivor Fiji of having blindsides played brilliantly. This week the alliance did not tell Sierra about their plan to blindside Tyson. They had the votes to oust him without giving away their plan to blindside blissfully arrogant Tyson. It was beautifully played. The poker faces of all those that did vote out Tyson was well played and camouflaged.

I am still chuckling at how boastful, I adore myself Tyson received his blindside. Tyson comes across as very arrogant and a pompous ass. He thinks he is God/ess’s gift to “everyone ” now just women. Between Tyson and Coach I don’t know which one is more arrogant than the other. It must be why they like each other, they are ecstatic of the fact that they adore themselves. Wasn’t it cute how Coach and Tyson bonded so swiftly?

Tyson also came across as a bully, he never let Sierra have a moments peace or relief from his heckling, put downs, and bullying, as Coach has not. Sierra was pleasantly surprised that it was Tyson getting his torch snuffed out and not her own torch as she thought.

Coach seems to have a problem with all women. If women don’t buckle at the knees, swoon and faint in Coach’s presence, that pisses off Mr I think I am so damn good looking, but really I am not. I mean why would any women reject coach? I don’t know off the top of my head I can think of at least a dozen reasons! It could be that his ego proceeds him, it could be that he is all talk and no action. It may be that he tries to bully women and then con them into giving him an amorous kiss. It could be that he does not take rejection well and displays it in a very mean spirited way towards women, hence bullying. It could be that he targets women who don’t jump to his command. It could be that he tells tall tales. It could be that he never really contributes to the awards or challenges. It could be that he tries to dominate the game and others. It could be that he is boastful and full of it. It could be that he thinks he is the next big thing in Hollywood. It could be that he does not take his responsibility well when his tribe fails. It could be that we have watched him bully women all through the show.

Tyson’s ending retort was ” those sneaky bastards”! Well I guess they all belong there, they manged to get me out. Good luck to all of them. I can hardly wait to see if they take out Coach next week. I am hoping they set him up for the blindside of survivor history.

Tyson thought he was the coolest guy there and that is why they must have voted him out. He also feels that Brendan wanted to hang out with him at the Ponderosa and now Brendan will have the opportunity of his life to hang out and bond with Tyson. NOT! I think that Brendan was laughing at Tyson because he knew Coach and Tyson set him up for his blindside and exit. What is not more perfect then seeing the people responsible for your demise, getting their own blindside.

I feel a little sorry for Brendan, he is going to have to listen to Tyson blowing his own horn for the rest of the show in jury. If Coach joins them, Brendan may have to be provided with earmuffs to get away with their delusional self adoration boating and blustering that Tyson and Coach will practice 24 hours a day. I also think that if Sierra joins them, she will not mince words once the million dollars is not at stake.People normally shut their mouths against people like Tyson and Coach because they fear they will be targeted at tribal council. Once they are out, I think that both Tyson and Coach will be in for a very rude awakening with Sierra.

Tyson gives a review of his demise and blindside. All the while he is gushing at how wonderful Coach is and how he loves his feathers. I think that Mr. Blissfully arrogant, has been brainwashed by Coach.

Next weeks previews show Coach trying to work on Sierra. Sierra has to know to go with the original plan and her original alliance. She is safer there. Until next week Survivor fans.

Coach Unveiled- Survival Of The Fittest Or The Egotistical- Remember Child Abuse Awareness Month People!

Some have called Coach’s delusions about his past adventures, “Tall Tales”! I personally want to cut the nonsense and fluffiness, and say I feel that Coach’s tall tales are LIES, aspersions, calumniations, is a corker, extreme exaggeration, fabrications, falsehood, falsity, fibbing, fiction, biggggggggg fish stories, a hyperbole, mendaciousness, misrepresentation, misleading and misstatement of the facts, a myth, intentional perjury, prevarication, simply not true, subterfuge, tales out of school, tall story , terminological inexactitude, white lies, a huge whopper of his life story !

In one way Coach’s lies are entertaining, but really many feel he is lying! Is it just me or does coach come across as one of the most arrogant egotistical asses that we have seen on Survivor

According to the place were Coach has his playtime and make believe time he has done it all, lived on the edge, overcome dangerous odds and undertakings. In fact he has had so many life and death threatening situations he can’t offhand remember them all!

Coach has shared with us the following:

1. He was captured by a tribe in the amazon, was beaten and by miracle coach escaped and without any resources, food and water, he paddled down the amazon river for two days to get away. Taj said it was unbelievable and I have to agree with her, yes it is unbelievable that he would LIE to this dimension. Coach has extended that he even tones down his stories of survival, because the amazon tribe were actually sizing up his buttocks and talking about eating his azz. Right, like Coach even has any meat on his back jewel to consider it a meal.

2. He has been through a hurricane ( that is a possibility)

3. He has been attacked by a shark ( or did coach attack the shark, it make me wonder)!

4. He had a run in with a crocodile. ( Most likely he asked the croc on a date and that is where they had the run in when the croc rejected Coach)

Coach advises that he has scars all over his body and that he was in 5, 6, 7 or 8 and probably more life and death situations in adventures!

I find it amazing that for someone that prides himself, and whom consistently brags, boasts and gloats on his survival of great feats and dangers would not know inclusively how many times he was in a life and death situation. Anybody viewing coach’s resume knows full well that his rather huge ego would not allow or permit him to forget how many times he faced danger and had to fight for his very life and survival.

Coach said there were some very defining moments in his life, when he thought these were the last few seconds of his uneventful life! Coach also put out that nobody could question his integrity and honesty, because that is how he feels he is playing the game. Um ( cough) Was coach not fired from his job as a women’s soccer coach from “Southwest Baptist University” because he had not told his employers that he was going to be on Survivor Tocantins. Yes I believe that is what happened. So much for coach’s honesty and integrity on how he plays his life. My thirteen year old daughter has summed up Coach’s tall tales in this perspective. ” Yeah, he did all that like I am best friends with Joe Jonas. She said I have done all the tours with the Jonas brothers and in fact they want me to be their starting act. NOT! This is from the perspective of a thirteen year old on Coach’s lies! Even young teens are not buying his great escape and life and death situations.

Coach’s tall tales/lies are definitely entertaining, but how many really believe him is another thing. First of all someone that had that many life and death situations would have had their own reality show by now. Coach is vying to become the next big thing in Hollywood. If anyone takes him up on it they can always have a reality based on tall tales/lies or an reenactment of ” To tell the truth!”

The show opens and out saunters Ryan Seacrest, who announces to us in a booming voice that there were over 45 million votes last night. Ryan then quips that it PROVES how great the top 7 are this season. This goes on every season and every week with Ryan. He comes out announces the votes ( unless it is low numbers and tries to convince viewers how popular the top competitors are. )What I get out of it is Ryan coming out and saying we have 35 million votes this week,” How do you like us now”! We have over 40 million votes this week, “ What do you think about us now”! This week America voted to the number of over 45 million votes” Now how do you like us”!

The top seven come out and performed their one two three step group song that Paula Abdul choreographed, it was good as it could get for disco. Then we had the immense pleasure of having Freida Payne, Thelma Houston and KC of the sunshine band come out, perform and show us what disco was in the era it was popular. What is even more hilarious is that these talented singers showed up the idolteers in way of energy and song deliverance.

Ryan then gets to it, and as usual Lil Rounds gets the first nod of being in the bottom three. No surprises Lil Rounds is given her exit amid a round of applause. I think that Lil was relieved, after all every week she could only look forward to Dumb Is, Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest to cut down and run her performances down. Lil could never do right in the eyes of dumb is, dumb, dumber and dumbest.  I have to congratulate the Judges in their stupidity, they worked on Lil being voted out for weeks now and it finally paid off for them. Congrats you DID IT!

We had the pleasure of seeing handsome David Archuleta perform, he is as gracious as ever much to the viewing pleasure of Idol fans.

This week Ryan Seacrest did not drag out the results as he had been doing. Thank Goddess for small mercies. Ryan asked for the lights to be dimmed, so he can deliver the execution notice to the second competitor with the bad news that they are going home. Again no surprises, Anoop Desai gets the ax and we see Lil’s and Anoop’s journey videos. Anoop was disappointed, I know I was not disappointed with his demise. Having said that, I am sure Anoop will fair well and get his contract, making his dreams and those fans he does have dreams come true.

So now there are five left. Danny Gokey, Adam Lamber, Matt Giraud, Kris Allen and Alison Irehata. I really have no favorites this year. I however may be leaning towards Danny Gokey to win Idol title. That is a big maybe since I feel each week there is no consistency this year with any of the idolteers. I don’t think Alison will be around for much longer. Simon predicated a guy will win it and he has worked his mighty sword of running down all the females in the competition to ensure his prediction comes true. Each year we experience this with Simon he plays his favorite and prediction card to the hilt.

Perez Hilton’s Gay Marriage sparring with Miss California!

I really thought  long and hard if I wanted to even write about the raging debate of gay marriage. After deep thought, I have decided I will lend my voice to what should be deemed as a non political issue. Miss California Carrie Prejean did the unthinkable she responded negatively to the question,  “if Gay Marriage should be made legal in the state of California” and to no other than Gay activist Perez Hilton.

First, this question at ANY time is a fully loaded question and in my view had NO place in this pageant. Perez Hilton states that Miss California should have left her political and religious views at home, as Miss America represents all Americans. I agree with this position, but I also feel that the question itself did Not represent all Americans or their world view.

Let us be honest here, not every American or others in other countries are pro gay marriage advocates. Some people feel that it does go against their religion and their upbringing. I would not say that Miss California’s intent was hateful versus her honest opinion and her own personal view on gay marriage. The gay marriage legality debate will continue to rage on, most likely for a long time but it had no absolutely no place in this pageant.

Having said that, my own personal view as a heterosexual person is that as long as it is two consenting adults that both want the same thing, than gay marriage is and should be acceptable. Why should it not be accepted? Many societies and in our own cultures have long accepted two consenting adults living together in common law unions including gay unions. Therefore, the rights of those consenting adults should be upheld in marital legal union and all the perks that come with marriage. Putting in laws to stop gay marriage is not religious it is opinion, it is hateful and unconstitutional. Not to mention a blatant act of watering down the freedom of the choice of those citizens that feel Gay Marriage should be made legal . Taking away others human and citizen rights is never acceptable at anytime for any reason.
How can politicians and any citizens say with sincerity that they have the right to choose and dictate if others should marry or not? Is society and politicians demonstrating this position with heterosexual marriages? No, they are not, so they have no right to dictate if two people that happen to be gay should marry. It is solely a personal choice and not a societal, religious nor a political choice.

Furthermore if one wants to get into biblical reference than the Bible does not accept gay marriage or the rights of gay people. The bible like any other world view and religious read serves as a purpose and guidance for those who read it and believe in it,  however, the bible was not set in stone. It was man written and for debate purpose ancient scribes of any religion or religious order could not possibly prepare to write for today’s world and world view. In my view no matter what God/ess one believes in,  most religious texts have been misinterpreted by man over the eras.

I also disagree with Perez Hilton that it is up to politicians to decide if Gay Marriage is acceptable. The State has no business in human personal relationships of choice as the Churches never had the right or place in those intricate relationships. Really people of the cloth are just human beings like any one of us. They are not of the holy order. In reality they are no better than any of us, only since they say they are men and women of God, then they should have a better understanding for the rights of all human beings.

There you have it, my personal view on the legality of Gay Marriage. I have always held the contention that those that  discriminate against gay people and their rights are no better than those that discriminate against any minorities. That is in saying that those that choose to discriminate against gay people are no better then those that discriminate against African Americans, Natives ect.

It really is nobody’s business what two consenting adults choose to do  in their own personal space and time as well as what consenting  adults accept for themselves and in their daily living. How is this even a legal question? Two people wanting to get married has never harmed the greater good of society. What harm would be caused to society if two people of the same gender did get married? None whatsoever!  The marriage and union of Gay people is not harmful like the marriage of two heterosexual people is not harmful to society worldwide.

Instead of us poking our noses in what should be a non-issue, we should be more interested in the rights of children that suffer child abuse, rape, whom are molested and in many cases those children that have been murdered.  Miss California reserves the right to her opinion, no matter whom thought it was blissfully ignorant. Perez Hilton reserves the right to his activism and opinion. Again this question had no place in this pageant.

Miss California was at the very least honest in her opinion, what I want to know is what she meant by ” in my country”! Miss California was in a Miss America beauty pageant so what country was she referring to, America or her native country.  I repeat this question had no place in the pageant even it was a hot topic. It is to political even though it should not be, very personal and in some cases to emotional for those that are fighting for their legal, human and constitutional  right to marry their partners. This question is not only a fully loaded question but in my view it is a no win question with a double edged sword. No matter which way Miss California responded she would have been jeered from either opposing side.  Those for gay marriage and those against gay marriage.  Carrie Prejean was in a no win situation with this question.

Danny Gokey The Best of Disco Night-April is Child Abuse Awareness month!

The show opens and Ryan waltzes out to do his usual, he introduces the judges, tells a couple of bad jokes than moves onto the competitors.

Lil Rounds- Sang Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every women”. As usual the judges didn’t think her performance was up to par. So what else is new? I just have a question on Simon’s critique, how does he know this is going to be her last week, when Lil was the first one to sing tonight? Out of all fairness, Simon had not at that point in the performances, heard the others competitors sing, so how could he predict that this would be Lil’s last week. That she would be eliminated before hearing all the competitors sing and before the results show? Seems a little far fetched to make a bold prediction like that Simon. As for Kara’s comment to Lil, as far as I am concerned, many viewers including me were excited to get a new judge, fresh blood so to speak.  Really Kara was not worth the wait or the excitement, since all she does is parrot the other three judges. Same Ole Same Ole, broken record Kara, nothing fresh about her critiques of the competitors performances.

Kris Allen comes up next and sings “ Donna Summer’s “ She works hard for the money”! Sorry Kris did not cut it in my view. It was lazy, slow and not reflective of disco. Being creative is one thing, dumbing down the song is another. What I want to know is what was original about his performance? What he did was in fact take a Santana beat and applied it to a Donna Summers song. It was not fantastic or even creative it was lackadaisical and boring.

Danny Gokey- Was the best  of the night, he sang Earth Winds and Fire’s “September.” Now Danny was original and his performance was enjoyable. It is unfortunate that Kara had to ruin it by parroting Randy “ who said he was worried about Danny”! I think Kara pulls out comments out of her arse and really they are never original. Simon did not think Danny gave a star power performance. I beg to differ, Danny got his groove on tonight and he brought it, and hit it out of the ballpark. Gokey was smoking in his performance tonight and in my opinion ended up being the best of the night.

Alison Iraheta  sang another flat stale song she also seems to sing through her nose. She sang “ Hot Stuff” her ending of the song was alright, but her performance  in a whole was off the mark. According to Randy she is one of the best singers of the competition. Yup Lol ok Randy! Kara ( sigh) mimicked Randy. What is the point of her being there, does Kara not have an individual thought? Simon felt she was an underdog but it was a brilliant performance. Yea sure Simon. What was brilliant about it, she comprised her delivery of her performance by putting an upbeat song to bed and her performance  put viewers to sleep. It seems to me every one of Alison’s songs sound the same with each performance every week. Therefore no originality, no star power, no nothing, just ultimate boredom and mediocrity

Adam Lambert sang “ If I can’t have you”. First, I must say Adam looked smashing tonight and he is quite a good looking chap. Adam happens to be two of my kids favorite to win Idol Title this year. I of course, vigorously disagree with them; however, they have been rooting for him from the beginning and debating with me about my position that I don’t think he will win Idol title. Tonight Adam brought something different to the stage and his performance was better then in other weeks. Still, he did not out perform Danny Gokey tonight. However it was good. Paula felt Adam’s pain, I am wondering if Paula feels the fan’s pain when we listen to the judges stupid and dumb critiques each week.

Matt Giraud- Sang “ Staying Alive”. He did fine, and did enough to stay alive for another week. It was not great or outstanding, just passable. Randy, kept marveling that Matt could really sing! Wow, what an acknowledgement from Randy after weeks of preparation.  How am I not surprised by Randy’s statement.

Anoop Desai sang ” Dim The Lights”.You can tell when a person does not do well in their performances,  the judges always comment on how wonderful they look, for lack of not being able to compliment their performance. Alas, I agree with Simon, it was a terrible performance only one of many of Anoop’s bad performances. Anoop did start off strong, once he picked up the beat he ruined it and blew his performance.

Talking to different AI fans, who watch the show, the general consensus is disbelief at the judges comments. Some fans feel that as usual the judges have their own personal favorites and as one AI fan put it, the judges make it very obvious. Alison and Kris did not out perform or out sing Lil Rounds in my view with tonight’s  performances.

Honestly I have been truly bored with this years American Idol season. I thought the Sanjaya season was bad, but really this season the judges got it wrong with many of the competitors they put in the competition. They really did! There is nothing exciting about these performances in my opinion. This may very well be a reflection of the three original judges own boredom with the show. Perhaps Simon, Randy and Paula  have lost their energy for American Idol as has host Ryan Seacrest. As for Kara I already stated how I feel about her, she is not fresh and only repeats back what the others three judges have said, whom all usually mimic each other. What happened to the good old days when these judges had separate opinions? Again, the AI judges seems to have lost their appeal for their show and perhaps they should all move on and the show should bring in some other original people to judge and critique the show. J/S

So I ask Simon again, now that we have all heard the performances how could he predict that Lil was so bad that she would be going home.

The best performance of the night was: Danny Gokey

Second best was: Adam Lambert

Third was: Lil Rounds

The worst performance of the night: Kris Allen

Second worst was Alison Iraheta

Third was Anoop Desai

Who I think should go home: Anoop and Alison

Who will go home after America votes: Anoop and Kris

The Dumbest award goes to:

Kara DioGuardi- For her not worth the wait comment.

Paula was asked if Kara could possibly replace her, Paula felt ” nobody could replace her and Kara does not think she can ever replace her. Paula was asked about fellow Judge ” Simon Cowell”, Paula shared that Simon is a bully! She expands that Simon, is a masterful Bully, and that cannot be taken away from him. You think!  Take in Nightline on ABC Thursday for this exclusive revelation and interview on Paula Abdul’s true feelings about her idol experience over the years. Paula relates that the end of her contract may just be about ” moving on” even though she loves what she does.
