The Top 8 got underway with more lackluster performances then ever. Dumb Is (Kara) Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest all did their best to shine hogwash on their critique of the performances. They praised the boring, off key and out of tune performances and put down the best performances. The only surprise of the night was Matt. For once, his performance and vocals were on par and he was in my opinion the best performance of the night.

The show opens and out comes bouncy goofy Ryan Seacrest, who wells up with pride everytime he walks on the stage. He is Mr American Idol host and don’t anybody ever forget whom he is. Although his celeb was not enough to have the American Idol execs give him the thumbs up for helicopter rides to the set, Ryan seems to have recovered from this set back and is coping with Limo Rides. My what a step down in the world for Ryan Seacest. NOT

Out of lack of nothing better to comment on, we were all treated to the baby photos of the judges and host of American Idol. Frankly I could have lived without going down their childhood memory lane, however, flashing baby photos is a tradition of American Idol and for some reason the judges thought they would share with us this year. Um Thanks I think!

Many performances were no better than last week only this week Matt surprised the viewers and came out of it as the best of the night.

As usual the judges critiqued and gave a bad review with the wrong competitors. Lil and Scott were better than they said. Scott definitely came in number two of the night and Lil number three after Matt.

Danny did not sound that good and was grasping to reach those high notes in his rendition of ” Stand by me”! The judges called it brilliant, I call it struggling to sing.

Chris Allen was laughably told that it was heartfelt, but Simon piped up that it his performance was indulgent, boring and forgettable. Chris sang ” All She wants to do is dance and all I wanted to do is snooze during his performance.

Lil sang ” What’s love got to do with it”! She was better than five others and as usual the judges gave her an unjust bad review. In fact they are trying to railroad Lil like they did with Megan, take our advise, listen, so America can send you home. The judges need to listen to her performance again, they will be surprised that is was much better than they suggest. Of course Dumb Is, Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest parrot each other. They are usually withen one breath of each other week in and week out, “I agree , me two, me three, broken record.” Here is a novel thought Randy, Simon, Paula and Kara, how about voicing a independent thought from each other!

Out came Anoop who sputtered, tried to sing and was one the worst performance of the night. Randy Jackson said in an amazingly surprising voice, ” Wow, you can sing”! Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo what does this tell the viewers, that the American Idol judges gave Anoop a chance when they knew he could not sing. There were better competitors that deserved that thirteenth spot. The judges gave a huge thumbs up and called his performance ” flawless” I call it useless and delusional.

Scott who I think is the top contender to win Idol Title this year, sang ” The Search is Over”! I call that performance brilliant, the best of the night, flawless, being himself, amazing and wonderful. That is what American Idol is all about, good singing that makes viewers notice the performance. It is not about gimmicks. The judges of course did their best to LIE to us about his performance last night, they were completely bullshitting the viewers.

Alison sang one of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs ” I can’t make you love me”. The judges said, very good, great, and the usual yearly nonsense, you remind me of .. this year’s nominee was no other than Kelly Clarkson. Yea sure, Randy, Alison reminds you of  Kelly Clarkson like ” Leona Lewis is said to be better songstress than Mariah Carey” I have the same response for both of these statements, IN YOUR DREAMS! Alison will never be able to out sing Kelly as Leona will never make or break the records of the golden undisputed vocals of Mariah Carey. Keep dreaming!

Matt who was a pleasant surprise of the night sang ” Part time Lover” and yes he was spectacular and I dare say the best performance of the night. The judges whom I think are deaf, gave him the thumbs down. Again, they need to go and listen to his performance and than admit they dropped the ball in their critique.

Adam sang us out with his interpretation of ” Mad World”. Simon was the only one to critique and said Standing O. Adam sang mad world and I was personally mad that I had to listen to his shoddy vocals at all.

Second best: Scott
Third best: Lil

The worst performance of the night: Anoop
Second worst: Adam
Third worst: Alison

Whom I think will go home. Anoop
Whom will go home after American votes: Adam ( there is always a results shocker, I think he will be it this year) Adam may be likable but he is not doing enough to win Idol title.

Randy Jackson gets the dumbest comment award for ” Wow, you can actually sing”!
